I'm disappointed to hear this. I love Luka and was really looking forward to getting her. I just came here to check this thread to see if anyone had gotten her yet just to see the news. It seemed long enough waiting till November. Now it's just a vague "spring 2019".

I haven't seen anything about it. The only notice up on the webstore is the payment change for Altria / Ruler.

Funny enough, there were 2 Lukas that just sold on eBay for 2 grands. I am shocked xD

Volks posted a twitter update today. The Lukas will begin shipping sequentially from February 16th.

That's a nice surprise as they previously said 'spring'.

So, I’ve never ordered directly from Volks before and I’m getting nervous. My purchase history on the site isn’t available anymore and I don’t have an order confirmation, but I have the paypal receipt. I just need to know if I’m being impatient or if maybe I screwed something up.

That’s cos of Volks revamping the web store between December and January, unfortunately it got rid of the order histories for everyone. But they confirmed the orders are safe - it was also a concern for the people who preordered 2B and 9S last year.

(To put it bluntly, the transition to the new site has been...lacking)

as torino said, they said they should have started shipping dolls last saturday in the typical first come first serve order, though I am guessing they will fulfill japanese orders first, and then the international one's.

 

Usually i've gotten shipping notices at around noon GMT, but so far no note of luka for me.

 

If anything does go pear-shaped as long as you have the lottery number that was associated with your luka and which you paid for you should be all right, as to have something to refer to if needless ammounts of time goes by after people actually start getting their notices.

I'm glad my Luka hasn't shipped yet. I had a episode of worry about shipping address.

 

I did change my address to the new website and just to make sure I send message to Volks with Luka's order number that the address had changed. It is possible that Luka's order had old address somewhere in some old system as I haven't seen her order at the new website. Well, I got reply that address had been changed, but the address in the reply was to a completely different country... I did reply to that and now I got reply with the right address, but it was few moments of worry between those two messages. I know I will worry with 2B's delivery too if her order is not up at the new website before delivery.

Luka seems to have breezed through doll immigration, and should be here tomorrow. Didn't even have to send Kaede up there to vouch for Luka's special pop-iDoll status.

She arrived first thing this morning. Not having a stand for her, or a spare bodysuit, I put her in something simple that she could easily sit in. Her outfits need ironing too.

 

 

She's beautiful, and she deserves better photos than this. I swear this year I am going to invest some money in some decent backdrops and maybe some DD sized diorama props if I can get something like that.

Wait a sec, how long is her wig? Either it’s just what I can see in that photo giving off that illusion, or it’s a good deal shorter than the Dolpa batch. Mine reaches just below the back of her knee and tbh I think it’s too long. It would be interesting if they changed her wig - I know they made changes to the Kagamine Rin wigs between the Dolpa and lottery dolls.

Ah so there wasn’t a change then. I kinda wish there was because I rarely see pictures where her hair is that long, and it can be a pain to deal with. I’m still trying to find mine a new one because length aside I’d like it to be more candy pink, but I haven’t found the perfect candidate yet.

It's definitely a bit baggy if you touch it, but if you leave it alone it holds it's shape pretty well. I didn't try it with the piping accessory though.

 

You could probably have it taken in by one of the local forum tailors if you wanted to. I kind of think she should be an M bust too.

Decided to have a bit of fun and try Luka's Senbonzakura on an SS bust doll. I think it works remarkably well, considering Chihaya is both SS and DDS.
