But, yes, my girls are cosplaying as their sister. My wife would kill me if I bought that many Mikus (But I have joked about doing so.). Took a couple hours to get them all dressed. And I'm surprised at how the Ribbon girl wig makes Saber look so chubby in the face.

I have no idea how to merge threads so I just deleted the one Torino made and will repost his stuff here instead.

 

 

August 31st is Miku's birthday, and in 2017, it's her 10th anniversary. It really has been ten whole years!

I've been her fan for all ten of those years and a little more, because I first fell in love with her when I listened to her demo songs before she was released. She really does mean a lot to me.

I haven't had DD Miku for a whole year yet, but hey, an excuse for cake is an excuse for cake.(this ones a little oddly decorated but it was the most photogenic one in the cake-shop today)

My Miku usually has short hair, but I take the long one out for special occasions...like this one.

Me and my Miku are going to celebrate in style at the biggest Miku party on earth, Magical Mirai! ....Miku doesn't know yet, though. She has no idea where she's going, probably thinks she's just going into Fu kuoka city because that's the furthest she's been.

I gave her the glowstick as a hint (Daiso keychain) but she's still a bit perplexed...

I'll be sure to take a lot of pics of the event but will probably make a separate thread for it/her trip to Tokyo. (We're going to the new Doll Point too after all)

As for me, i discovered miku through the Levvan Polka Leeke spinner phase.

The song was catchy, the chibi miku was adorable and the leeke spin was funny.

After that it was world is mine that i listened to next, the live concert version and i loved miku! She was so cute and the 3d holographic image was something i had never seen before!

Im pretty sure the 3rd song was Miku and Luka sing Magnet!

 

I love the main bunch of Vocaloids! Miku, Luka, kaito, rin, len, gakupo and meiko.

Gumi and Teto as well. After that, for me, theres too many others *×* i cant keep up! @_@

 

Vocaloid is just amazing, im glad i stumbled across the leek spinning Miku!

The songs are amazing and i love seeing the visuals and stories people come up with to bring them life!

I don't have my own Miku (though she's the only fullset DD I've ever seriously considered) but I just remembered I've drawn a fan art of Torino's Miku, from Miku's arrival photostory--with cake!

I actually discovered Vocaloids through Dollfies--I'd only ever been peripherally aware of them until I joined this board and saw Miku and custom Kaitos. I'm very happy that I did, because I've found so many songs that I love, and so many producers and PV artists whose works have brought me entertainment, cheer, comfort, and most of all, inspiration.

I also came to know her via the leek spin. Downloaded a bunch of her music, bought a PSP just so I could get Project Diva 1 and 2. I think I 1st came across DDs shortly after Volks released Miku for the 1st time, but it was after the order period, so I moved on with my life. But then I came across then again just before the Snow Miku release, and got a normal Miku. Been hooked on DDs since.

 

As well as collecting DDs, I got a couple Miku plushies too. And yes, to Yaya's utter dismay, they have spent time in my bed. Nothing quite like sleeping the night away with your fav idol.

 

 

If anyone can find me the Miku PC cushion, I'd be sooooo happy.

Nice comic Torino. I'm totally with you. Been a fan from dang near her beginning, but haven't added anything to her community. My ring tone on my phone has been either Levvan Polka or Nekomimi Switch, and the background something Miku for almost as long as I've owned a cell phone (Currently I'm taking advantage of the different background for the iPhone between the wake screen and main screen. So when I turn it on, it's Miku with her eyes closed, then when you unlock it her eyes open. The way iOS changes the screen it give a really cool effect like she's waking up. It was better in iOS 8, but it still kinda works in iOS 9.). My fandom of Miku is so much a part of me that I can't imagine life without her. My 1st blu-ray disk was her 1st concert, and I didn't even have a player yet. I watched it on my parents' a night they weren't home. I remember when it was hard to find her songs on YouTube. The only reason my Sailor Moon image library is bigger than my Miku one is because SM has been around a lot longer. I haven't heard people talk about it being a stage in their life, or even really known people that know who she is (On free comic book day people told me they liked my Sailor Moon doll.), but I do feel it's sad that people think that way. What can I say, I love Miku, and don't see that ever changing. She'll always be there. And I'm glad she can be there for you and anyone else that needs her to be.

 

BTW, what is everyone's favorite song? Mine is

(Only thing is it is so old that there are no HD version of the beautiful music video.I'd so pay for a true 1080 version and not an upscaled version.). It's the 2nd to last song on my Zen playlist, which I listen to when I feel down or need to relax/calm down/level my emotions/otherwise reach a more zen state.

While I know virtually nothing about the Vocaloids, I do like Miku and Luka. I have several figures of them and really like the Miku DD's.

 

So since I don't own any of her DD versions, all I have to contribute is this jem I took 7 years ago.

GigaP and HachioujiP are my fave producers. (From HachioujiP my fave songs are a draw between Sweet Devil and Baby Maniacs) I got HachioujiP's autograph at MM today and I'm over the moon about it.

Most Walmarts around me keep posters near where they sell picture frames. I think one keeps the poster display near the school supplies. Near crafts would be another good place to look (although I think crafts tends to be around the picture frames anyway). Look on the end caps.

I really wanted to draw something for Miku's 10th but life/house/adulting once again kept me from doing anything. Had to settle for this really quick photo:

 

 

I've been following Miku since her original announcement. The idea, her design, and voice just intrigued the hell out of me. Once Rin and Len showed up I knew I found my true loves, but that didn't lower Miku for me. Without her, we wouldn't have the twins, Lily, SeeU, Kasane Teto, nor would the older or English VBs be as well-known. Vocaloid means a lot to me, more than I can voice.

 

My favorite Miku song is "Light Song" by kz(livetune). Merch-wise, I have the Snow Miku DD, both Volks News with her on the cover, and this stuff (used to have a lot more, but had to sell a bunch for space/money). I also have a lot of the English manga and trying to get it all as I can. Oh, and some posters and other random stuff, lol.
