About the website comments, I don't notice it being slower than anything else, but then I have what I guess most consider slow internet (10mbps). But what annoys me a lot is that the search doesn't seem to actually work on either the US or international store sites. When I'm looking at the clothing, invariably I have to just browse the entire thing to find what I want because no simple keyword ever works to find what I want via the search even though it is actually there.

 

It's not that search doesn't work at all as I do get some results, just never what I'm looking for yet browsing it is actually there.

Yeah it could be they have search terms in Japanese on the International site, but if so it should be fixed for the English version of the site. How many people outside of Japan can search in Japanese? (I can, to a degree, but that's not the point.) Here's two examples:

 

1) The Santa hat:

Searching on the US site is better but I still can't find some items that are on the site. Searching the International site is completely useless.

Figured it out.

 

A) Search is case sensitive so british gets you nothing, but British gets you back a lot of stuff including that suit. Same with santa and Santa.

 

B) While I was messing around I discovered that Grey and Gray (both acceptable spellings, but Gray is more common in the US) turn up different search results for both paint and clothing. Lower case grey returned nothing, but lower case gray netting some results including a bunch of eyes.

 

Case sensitive search seems a bad choice, but there could be legitimate reasons for it. Having grey/gray with two spellings is problematic. Possibly they have two different staffers doing their translations.

THIS. Both lolita outfits and school uniforms are cute, but I wish there was more variety. Even lolita outfits/school uniforms with more unique designs would be better... I'm just tired of seeing similar outfits I guess.

Right? Like the White Rose school uniforms. Yes, they're cute, but they've been released what, FOUR TIMES now? Time to mooooove oooon, Volks.

 

As for the lolita side, I want more OTT kind of lolita--you know, super bonkers, no chill lolita. The lolita they've done so far is cute, yes, but I want just this side of magical girl.

I think I want two things with outfits: First, just some different styles, or designers, or something. The casual clothes mostly all have a similar look, as do some of the other things they do i.e. just how many outfits have tartan plaid as some part of them? Second, I want rereleases of the cosplay outfits. I'm trying to get stuff like the business suits, nurse outfits, etc. and those don't seem to have been rereleased much. I'm slowly finding stuff on Mandarake but much of it is about 2x the original price.

Thanks for that; I probably never would've figured it out! I was pretty sure one time I got results searching and never again and that's probably it that I used capitals.

seconding the thought, but replace Sakura with Chii. ... or any CLAMP catalogue really, as they do love to draw zero chill lolita or punk outfits

As much as I like CCS and Chobits my ideal clamp release would be Umi, Hikaru, and Fuu. Granted characterwise Chi makes total sense as a DD.

Angelic Layer! That would be pretty cool. I remember I watched some of it when it aired on TV when I was a kid, and I was pretty fascinated by the whole dolls-fignting-thing. Brings back memories

I wish Volks come to EU one day. I do not think it is a small market here in Europe. Also it minght get market even bigger if they had branch officed here. Or at least some kind of stock.

- Different torso and thigh options like how Angel Philia has.....

- RELEASE THE BOY BODY FOR NORMAL PURCHASE!!! (please)

-Ability to have the "custom parts" ordered in the USA (on the Japan site you can pick and choose busts and stuff easily).

I wish wold change the whole lottery thing. I would love for the, to do more pre-orders in limited DD sculpts. I enter the lottery for a Sasara back in 2014 and I didn't win. I really want one, but the ones who won are selling her very expensive on the second hand marketplace.

 

I think preorder would be better than lottery. I would love for them to change that.

I don't think you're the minority here. I doubt anyone here really likes the fact that so many normal clothing items aren't really fit for DD.

 

It's been two years since Volks made DDP, and one year since they were officially released. As far as I know the only pants for them are from Iori's default Pink Diamond outfit.

I have the same wish before. But over years, Volks seem do not want to made casual wear.

I don't know if you've seen them or if they're what you are looking for, but the large hands Volks has for DD are more detailed and IMO nicer-looking.

 

You can see them on Len Kagamine. They used them for him presumably because he's a guy, but it's funny as the large hands are much more feminine-looking, especially with his yellow nail polish.
