Is this too much to a dollfie dream head?

I just love this new head. But I am concerned that this head is overpriced. I still a noob at this and don't want to be overcharged for a Dollfie dream head. Any suggestions. Thank you!

That looks like the new 06 prepainted head Volks is releasing. That head sells for about $100 retail thru the preorder thing Volks had. These do happen to be limited in number so that will raise the price a little. But not TWICE the retail value! I think you should hold off on this, it seems quite high in my opinion. I'm sure you will be able to find these for less pretty soon, especially on YJA.

Maybe some at a reasonable price will be available once they start coming to Volks USA. I have seen those heads go for quite a bit after they were unavailable. The blank heads should come to Volks USA soon and will be even cheaper. We have some wonderful faceup artists on the forum if you don't want to try doing your own faceup.

That listing also doesn't say outright whether or not it's even the prepainted head, and the promo shots they show include both the available prepainted head and a sample paint job that as I recall Volks didn't make available. So there's a possibility that head is even blank, in which case that's WAY too much.

 

If you want the 06, personally I'd wait until VolksUSA gets them in stock (probably late December or early January), and get a blank, either doing the faceup myself or getting a commission from someone. That's probably the most cost-effective way to get it, and that way you'll have a truly unique girl too.

I saw this ebay action too. CENSURED price!

I really like this DD6 prepainted. I saw a few on YJ but all of these were BIN at 15000 yens. All sold. And you have to add deputy fees.

It is a shame because the prepainted head was not limited/lottery in Japan and price was around 9000 yens.

That's the new DD head ain't it? Let me tell you... 220 isn't a good price. eBay ALWAYS likes to make DD stuff expensive. I too was thinking of buying that head also. But instead I went to VOLKS JP and looked at the DD heads. And they're selling it for like 50-60 dollars!!! And then you can send it to hikaru132 to customize the face however you want, for 30 something dollars. Or you can do it yourself of course ^w^)/

The only problem is that the original skin is out. But the white skin is still available! That's the one I bought

I was think of asking someone here to do the face up for "Sayaka" which will be an 06 head

I cant agree more. Her original faceups are excellent but when she redid my Manami for me, I was so happy with her work I almost cried. LB is a great faceup artist and is super reasonable on price. If you decide to go the blank head route, check LB's Flickr out to see some of her work.
