YOSD, MDD and DDS

Hi, i'm a newbie in this hobby. i wanted to ask if anyone who had YoSD, MDD or DDS knew if YoSD/MDD outfit would fit DDS. There is this YOSD n MDD outfit i liked but its only available in YOSD n MDD size. So, i kinda wondered..would it be too small for DDS?

Hi, and welcome! Yes, YoSD and MDD clothes are too small for DDS. YoSD will be too small for MDD as well.

YoSD is definitely too small for DDS size. You might be able to squeeze an S bust MDD into a YoSD dress, but the shoulder area will be a bit tight... and it's likely to be rather short

The pink/black dress is YoSD size. The white skirt is from a DDS set, white shirt is MSD/MDD size.

 

 

MDD/MSD on a DDS... It really depends on the article of clothing is & what it's made of imo. It also depends on what bust the DDS has. SS-S bust has a higher chance of fitting. I've been able to put MSD sized skirts on my DD/DDs girls by removing the upper torso and putting them on that way. Loose fitting shirts, vests & dresses have also fit my S bust girls with no problems.

 

TL;DR - YoSD will not fit DDS. MDD might. Can you show us a picture of the outfit that you were thinking of?

MDD is MSD size and fits 40cm to 45cm clothing.

 

DDS is SD size and fits SD clothes also azone 50cm line of clothes fit.

 

Yosd is way too small and the clothes will not fit the above. It's best if you research each size of dollfie.

Unless it was an incredible loose, baggy dress I wouldn't even attempt MDD/MSD clothes on DDS. They're completely different sizes. Even if the dress DID go on, it's look more like a shirt (or an extremely short dress)

and yeah, I wouldn't try YOSD stuff on MSD either... if you've seen a picture of how these dolls look next to each other, you could see how different the sizes are - it's be like trying to put a toddler's clothes on a 10 year old.

I feel your pain, though. It really sucks when you find something great and it's in multiple sizes except the one you want.

I'm confused - you said the outfit was available in YoSD/MSD size, but that's an MSD/MDD outfit? There's no way it'd fit on a YosD without swallowing it. I thought you meant it was one of those sites where theres a dropdown menu and you can choose the size you want it in.

Anyway, given that one is a swimsuit and is already very tight, it's not going to fit on a DDS without stretching it a whole lot (assuming the material is stretchy lycra like a swimsuit usually is). Even stretching it I'm not sure it'd work. The other outfit probably wouldn't either, even if you could get it on a SS bust DDS, you'd probably have to remove her arms/torso and really force it on, and if it did go on it'd look stretched and weird.

 

If you're curious, here is a DDS (1/3) next to a SuperDollfieCute (1/4) next to a soom teenie gem (1/6). SuperDollfieCute is the same height as MSD/MDD and can wear the same clothes (those clothes are MSD clothes from Volks) and teenie gem are a little smaller than YoSD, but can still wear the clothes (the outfit is a YoSD outfit from Volks). You can see theres a pretty big difference. (The YOSD one is baggy enough that it -might- squeeze over a SuperdollfieCute since their limbs are thinner, maybe not an MDD/MSD though, but either way it'd look obviously too small I assume. I might try it later. but obviously not all YoSD clothes have a baggy aesthetic like this one)

 

Luckily those outfits aren't too unique, it shouldnt be too hard to find cute swimwear or hoodies with ears in 1/3 (DDS) scale. I suggest looking on acbjd.com, they sell a lot of clothes from Taobao sellers and cute hoodies pop up a lot.

Hnn.. As Torino said, those outfits won't fit a DDS... But there are a lot of alternatives out there and you can assemble something similar ^^

 

Swimsuit outfit: There's a lot of options oncoolcat, however nothing 100% the same. I would say you could either go for something like this and then buy/add a skirt or you could go for one of these this,this or this. They all come in multiple colours, and multiple sizes so if you do order... Please make sure you order the DD/DDS size and not the DDy by accident ^^

There's many places that sell cardigans like that, acbjd has one that looks very similar,rrabit has one but it's more of a solid cardi.

 

Hoodie Set: DDS might be able to fit the inner shirt, but the hoodie would be a bit short on their arms. The material of the skirt would make it a tight fit on the DDS torso unfortunately;;; The socks would fit tho haha.

Would anyone possibly have photos of what MDD looks like in any version of regular DD/DDs/Etc clothes on? I know they'd be baggy, but I was curious by how much! (Specifically with socks, sweaters/shirt)

I don't have an MDD of my own, but Little Wonder has some pieces that can fit both DD and MDD, complete with pictures of the different sizes modeling it.

Hoodie Sweatshirt 

Flared Shorts

That's just a selection, but it should give you a sense of how they compare in terms of clothes sharing.
