IIRC, LA is the biggest importing sea dock in the US. But in my experience ordering things, their customs facility is pretty dang efficient. NY is the worst.

 

I’m sure LA has to be extremely efficient, but stuff can take a long time over the holidays.

 

I work for California, and in my experience tax dollars have to be spread pretty thin. Government employees get good benefits, but lower than average wages for the work, and very large workloads. It’s kind of the nature of the beast though. Our compensation comes from the product of other people’s labor, and we really should tax only as absolutely needed for government to operate.

 

Finally got the email. Shipping in late January 2019. My wallet isn't so happy

I just got my payment email as well! For Volks USA Saber ships late December 2018 & Ruler late January 2019. You can have them shipped together but then they would be shipped out late January. I'd rather pay the little extra to get Saber sooner.

 

UGH! All the worrying is finally over! It's so nice I don't have to carry that stress over through my birthday. Still need to save for Ruler for about another week but it will be plenty in time for the October 29th payment date. Now I can spoil myself for my birthday with the extra I saved because my math sucks.

That was me, but that’s a Super Crown from the new Mario game, not exactly what I was after. Saber’s is almost exactly what I want but I’m still trying to look on places like Taobao.

Has anyone got a paypal invoice at all?

 

I got an email from them on the 21st stating that they were going to send me an invoice, but so far nothing.

I woke up to the Volks email requesting payment. I jumped up out of bed and couldn't go back to sleep because of it. lol December can't get here soon enough.

I don't think they're accepting PayPal anymore? If you click their link, there's an option to add in cart the finL payment for fgo dollfie. Then you can proceed to check out as usual.

I paid for Saber a week ago and in between the time Volks and my bank arranged the transaction the yen valour has gone up quite a bit.

Besides Torino, sinclair is looking for a crown for a certain someone but I don't know if he already had a deal for Saber's outfit.

 

I wanted to see the above crown but you can't view without a facebook account.

 

If it's a Mario type crown, I saw one 3d printed on instagram but don't know if it's the same one:

 

I want one of those but without the eyes; I like that much better than the ornate style of Saber's crown.

They don't, but because they accepted paypal at the time of order they're still accepting it for this.

 

Their initial email stated that to get a paypal invoice reply to them with some details. I did that; a week later I got an email stating that they are processing the paypal invoices and will get around to sending them soon, and I've heard nothing since.

 

I might just crack and pay with a credit card. The process was painful enough last time that I don't want to repeat it, and I'm a bit scared that I'll confuse them now that I've asked for paypal.

 

They have been around long enough that you'd expect that they'd have something as simple as payment sorted out.

Depending on how they size it, a perfect S bust DDS fit will be tough on an S bust DD fit. The other possible issue with the armor fit is if it like Saber Lily and Asuna’s breastplate then the band that holds the breastplate on may be a tight fit on the doll it was made for. It really depends on do they size it for DDS or for DD and DDS.

Or if it's the exact same armor she came with before when she was a DD.

I would have a problem with that if they did it to be honest. I think it will look better if it is fit to the doll. The breastplate wouldn't be too bad, but the grieves and the dress would look a bit big; not too bad overall, but a bit big imo.

Sure I see that. I didn't say it was a good idea just that Volks might do it; they have very few DDS-only outfits.

 

However, they are different. Look at the rear of the arm pieces:

On the new one, there's a much more defined lip on the end of the cylindrical base, and that section is longer than the armor plates attached to it. The old one the plates are as long or a bit longer than the rest.

 

Also look at the bottom of the breastplate; the old one is slightly longer (probably) as there is a short vertical part to the pattern on it not visible on the new one. That is the one change I would've specifically wanted and hoped they'd do. When I studied the pictures you did of Makoto wearing Saber Lily's armor, the one thing that I noticed that looked wrong top me was how the breastplate went behind the "belt" that holds the two armor skirt pieces together and on her, caused by the DDS torso being slightly shorter.

 

With those changes, I'd assume everything else is sized appropriately as well. It still may fit sinclair's DD bodies fine though; being sized for DDS doesn't rule out them still making straps and such adjustable or stretchable enough to work on DD.

 

I don't know the proper terms for armor pieces so I'm sure I called them the wrong things but hopefully what I mean is clear anyway.

Well I got my shipping notice today

 

The tracking number doesn't quite work yet, but one step at a time works now.

 

I am a little worried about her being kidnapped and held for ransom at the border, but one can only wait and see.

It looks like they are coming from the Kyoto area. Unless something has changed, packages are going overland to Tokyo, and flying out from Tokyo international. The Sept 5th Typhoon swept a tanker into the bridge leading to the Kansai international airport near Kyoto, and it wasn’t fully reopened last I checked.

 

Stuff has been taking a few more days to get airborne as a result.

Yeah, it feels kind of wrong that mine would ship before yours. We probably ordered within 10 minutes of each other, but I paid more than two weeks after you did.

My order from the Sendai after event took about 4 days to get from Sonobe Kyoto up to the dispatch from Japanese customs in Tokyo.

 

The September Outfit collection stuff took 5 days to get from Sonobe to dispatch from Tokyo.

 

They both took about a day from that to hit SFO customs.

 

Idk about the travel time to where you are, but figure if the dolls don't leave from the airport in Kyoto you're looking at maybe 4 - 5 days additional travel time over the normal time it takes.
