FGO X Dollfie Dream : Jeanne d'arc and Saber

Quick question. What is the weight of Altria box? Mine is going to my shopping service, but I think they send me the wrong weight....

 

Altria just arrived today. I'm prepping to send her out to my trade partner and had to measure the box and weigh it. Her weight is 9 lbs and the box is huge! Hope this helps!

Managed to find time to put Ruler together today.

The magnets on the body armour are weak hence it doesn't really hold but could also be I added one layer of body protection suit to prevent staining. Oddly it held together fine on its own but not when I put it on Ruler. The pegs on the crosses are really small and I was afraid of breaking them. Overall each armor piece was really well done.

 

Took a long while to try to figure out how to put all the pieces together. I found a quality issue with her flag's pole. Hopefully Volks can send a replacement for that specific part.

Is anyone else that ordered from Volks USA starting to get really frustrated that not even Altria has shipped out yet, and Jeanne is delayed, when they made us pay in October? I really could’ve used the money before Christmas - or waited until they were closer to shipping out, so I had longer to pay on PayPal credit.

 

I do very much understand that shipping is busy this time of year. I have been selling and buying things online (in numerous amounts) for about ten years now. However, saying something should be here in December, and not even shipping until who knows when - is not promising. After waiting a year and paying $2,400 I just want my dolls. I didn’t order from Volks JP solely because of the fact that they started taxing everyone - I used to order from them instead before they started charging taxes to all.

There are people who have gotten their Sabers shipped out from VolksUSA. LynaLune and myself updated on the previous page that we'd gotten our shipping and we ordered from VolksUSA. Mine shipped on the 17th and I got her yesterday.

I also ordered Altria from volksusa and she arrived on the 20th. I might try reaching out to them?

Don't wait right until the deadline to contact them about this. If it gets close I would email their support.

I've contacted Volks about the shipping schedules, apparrently there's some delay to the deliveries. They said they's ship it around early March. ;A;

Just got an email from volks the other day

 

I finally got my dollfie shipping email today

No email notification or tracking number or any warning from Volks.

One day mailman infront of my work and tell me I have to pay €534 for customs tax..I don't know what upset me more...volks that give no warning or anything at all or the Belgium Custom who need money...anyway...this was supposed to be my final dollfies but..very disappointed and I don't even want to keep both dolls anymore...

I’d blame the tax, but I’m a “Taxation is theft” person, and I live in a county that overthrew it’s government over taxation. 

My recent lottery order was already on its way out of Japan before I got my email. I think they certainly have some stuff to smooth out, and I can totally see it would have been nice to have some notice.

500 Euro’s is crazy, and you shouldn’t have to pay that much tax a ¥109000 doll. 

So the threads on Jeanne's sleeves stain pretty badly. She and Altria have worn their defaults since I got them last year. Saber is stain free, but Jeanne's arms are off to the stain spa. I'd recommend a full body suit for her.

That's odd to hear.  I don't own Jeanne herself but I have her fullset and had it on one of my girls for almost 2 months and she had no stains on her from anything, even the arms.  I wonder why that is?  A switch in thread somewhere in the process?

I'm sure given the positioning, and the shape of the stains that it has to be the black thread, but it could easily be two different types of thread. I didn't even see the stains until I did a full check of the doll because I had the seams positioned on the inside.

Looks like they decided to sell their surplus stock (from cancelled orders) of Saber and Ruler during Dolpa.

It suddenly makes a lot more sense why the deposit has gotten so high for recent preorder projects 🙃 (50% for ReiMari, and the whole lot upfront for Y’shtola, although I still hope that’s because of Squeenix and not the new normal thanks to people not paying for things they order.) That said I’m surprised they waited until now to do it considering those dolls shipped out 3 years ago now.
