also, how badly do u need that dress to be Volks official, 'cause From-sen totalz has a replica of her dress as well you know.... (plus u know, orig Volks dress was made for M-bust and this new one will be for S-bust. Just minor thing to keep in mind)

I don’t have an original Saber to compare to here, but if the bodice for Saber is all one piece this is a really good point. A bodice made for an S bust DDS would be really tight on an M DD. I’ve tried with a few outfits and I worried about damaging them because of the tightness.

 

Volks sells stuff labeled SS - M, but it doesn’t really work, and all they really do is cut costs. Even DDS to DD isn’t a nice fit. They’ve done this with some of the iM@S outfits, and the fit just looks a bit too loose to me. The stage outfits should fit the girls shape well.

 

Sorry I’ll stop ranting now.

 

On Saber Extra the top was a three piece affair with a corset, the sleeves, and a bra as separate pieces. The bra part was made for L but it can work on an M too. It’s made from very elastic material. It wouldn’t work on an S because it doesn’t fill it in enough.

It's done! I've just ordered a Saber. Goodbye to all those evening coffes, shopping sprees at my usual comic book shop, etc.

With Extra you could definitely use her outfit on any bust as long as you provided an alternate bra that fit the overall design of her outfit. I kind of hope new Saber is the same way, but of course her breastplate itself probably won't work on anything larger than M.

 

What I wish Volks would do with outfits that have separate bras is produce the outfit itself for the size of the doll, then add multiple bras. Like if they made a DD/DDS sized Twinkle Star they could easily release it with four bra sizes. I'd pay the extra cost to have a perfect fit for my bevy of iM@S girls.

 

If memory serves my Tokyo SS Ami Ayase didn't include panties either and she was a pretty recent release. She has a skintight pair of "leather" pants that preclude wearing them. Maybe if the doll has an outfit that doesn't need them then they don't include them?

 

What's kind of disappointing is they never posted any "what's included" photos for the FGO releases. I use those to keep track of what items came with what doll.

prev Saber pre-orders (Nero & Alter v2) never had those either. Plenty of promo shots of dolls themselves, but not the outfit pieces. Maybe because they're still busy tweaking bits here & there for final production run?

I'm going to be posting a split soon. I don't need the dress armor or sword. Just the nude doll and wig. If anyone is looking for the other pieces let me know. Should have the split posted in a day or so.

Does anyone in SoCal want to order Saber and/or Jeanne with me? We would be able to save on shipping cost and I could give them to you during a doll meet up.

 

I was playing around with their website and saw shipping one dd would be around 5000yen and 2 dd would be 8000yen. Of course, since the fgo dolls have armor, the weight and shipping cost would be higher.

Ah, I didn't realise the Sabers were a small bust! I don't desperately need the dresses to be Volks Originals so I'll take a look at the From-Sen totalz. Thanks for the tip off!

Some of the earlier Saber releases were DDII & some were DDIII. I’ve only noted II or III where I know which it was.

 

Saber Altria is DDS-F3 S bust. She is the first Saber who is DDS and the first S Bust Saber.

 

Jeanne (Saberface) DD-F3 L Shapely Bust

 

Saber Lily DDII M Bust

 

Saber Extra DDIII L bust.

 

Original Saber DDII M Bust

 

Saber Santa DDIII M Bust

 

Saber Alter DD M Bust

 

Saber Alter V2 DD M Bust

In fact, bust size depends of the character she represents :

 

Saber (the blue one), Saber lily, Saber Alter and Saber Santa are all the same character : Arthoria Pendragon. Arthoria doesn't have big boobs (she might me A or B cup), so S or M bust is good.

They are originaly from Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. Saber Lily is a outfit you can unlock in the game Fate/Unlimited Codes and Saber Santa is an alternative outfit forum Fate/Grand Order (if i don't make mistakes).

 

Saber (the red one) is Nero. She have big boobs so L cup is fine !

She is from Fate/Extra, Fate/Extra CCC.

 

Ruler is Jeanne d'arc, and she also have big boobs. L cup is her size ^^

She is from Fate/Apocrypha.

 

Btw, all Saber should be on DDS i think, as Arthoria is small (1m54), Nero even smaller (1m50).

I'm personally not interested in either of these dolls, but I came across some really nice close ups of them while browsing twitter, so I thought that I'd link them here.

If they have to make characters from the Fate series, I wish they'd make some of the guys lol... Gil-sama as a DD would be faaabulous. Although they'd have to make a taller & muscular body first (DDdy equivalent for guys pls Volks).

I think sometimes they go by age as opposed to height when picking a body size. They really need a cup size in between M & L too. Something just above an M like an M+. L is really best for characters like Jeanna, Kos-Mos or Kanu who really are drawn that large by their creators.

About the cup size, Nero and Jeanne REALLY are large. So it fits the character well.

That Gil was a one-off display-only doll using one of the fullchoice sculpts (he and the Archer used the same sculpt)for a special Fate display they had at December Dolpa last year, he was never intended for sale or as an announcement of any sort. I have no idea what they did with him after, I thought he'd go in the museum in Kyoto but he just disappeared. Maybe one of the staff kept him personally.

But that's why they never told more about it - there was nothing to tell. They did the same thing with an Alto for a Marcos's Frontier display. Now that there's more interest in them I hope something official happens.

 

guh the more I see of Jeanne's sculpt the more I like it. Hopefully her head isn't too pricey down the road.

May have to preorder from Volks USA, but for a different reason than expected. Apparently Volks Japan won't let me add both Jeanne and Saber to the same order. Last time I had to do something like that I got hit for double shipping.
