If the stuff's in your cart and you're logged in, it'll stay there for ten hours. You don't have to check out twice.

Wow I thought they dropped out after a short period to keep people from holding an item without buying it. It sounds like you have to maintain the login between the events, but that seems totally doable.

You don't have to maintain the login; if you get logged out because of inactivity, just log in again and your cart will still be there. I do it all the time :3

Interesting, they say they maintain it a short time if you get logged out, but I didn't think that would mean 10 hours.

In a few more hours I'll be off to the Fu kuoka store to see Jeanne in person. I have no idea why, but it seems like they didn't get a Saber for display, only Jeanne. Anyway, as I said before the Fu kuoka store is great because they have them in the open instead of behind glass so you can get real close and take better pics.

I just wanted to ask if there were any particular angles people wanted to see of Jeanne?

Are they going to have DD-F3 bodies like some of the shops had with DDP? Seeing those might be nice too.

I asked about the body and they said this time they didn't have one to play around with like they did during the Yayoi/Iori preorder, but that it was exactly the same except bigger.

Anyway I took many photos and will upload them when I go back home in a few hours, but for the time being i uploaded a video to Instagram.

Some points:

-She's REALLY impressive in person, like dang

-that flag is massive, they had some fishing wire tied to it to secure it.

-the weird head ornament thing she has seems to be on a headband thing that goes underneath her hair (you can see this in the video)

-I expected as much but her armoured hands don't seem to be jointed, but fixed in poses, not sure how many she comes with if more than the ones for holding stuff.

Lily came with 3, and one had a little post on it that you could fit to a hole in Caliburns scabbard allowing her to hold it. I wouldn't expect that on Jeanne since hers is on a belt like Asuna's, and there was no corresponding hole on Avalon. Still the extra had was useful even without the post. Hopefully they both have at least 3 of them.

Previously some girls would come with special gloved hands in hold position (like Lily's gloved hands are pretty white plastic, or Saber's armor hands) and then you were meant to just ..dunno... pray the heavy weapon would stay up in there. And then they'd come with average normal skin hands not meant to hold a thing

I dont know why but it seemed like some people in this thread were under that impression, at least to begin with, so I thought I'd just confirm it.

This is just my opinion but if her head and hair are all you are interested in I would wait for aftermarket if you can't get a split with anyone. Preorder girls and their various broken down elements (outfits, wigs) arent that hard to come by in the aftermath of a preorder release and it would save you a lot of money - even if people end up selling her head for a lot, it'd still be cheaper than the fullset doll even with paying yahoo auction or whatever proxy fees. The downside of course is not being able to predict or know when just heads are going to pop up, so preordering at least gives you that security. (I tend to find Sheryl's head on yahoo auctions at least every 4 months, anyway, and she's already a few years old) I used to really want that one but then saw it in person and realized it was too small for what I had in mind)

Based on my experience with the DDP the body is worth it. Once the new F3s are out as a base body I'm replacing my three DII bodies with DD-F3.

That was mostly why I'm purchasing saber. I really what to test out those new bodies. Sadly theres no DDDY bodies to pre-order.

Seriously though I would count on needing 3 - 4 feet in height, and 2 - 3 feet in width to display her in her full set. You might even need some monofilament line to really make it look good.

uh...I was filming her boots? I withdrew because it was too hard to get the camera past the giant placard in front of them. Before that I was zooming in on her sword because that's something specifically asked for in this thread. I would have to stick the camera up her legs to get a panty shot, which probably would have ended up having my phone touch her legs and violated the no-touch rule, so if you wanna see doll underwear that badly I suggest you wait till next year and do it yourself.

 

The scale might have been easier to grasp if Saber was there too (although she's a DDS now). I cant remember the exact size of the placard , I want to say A4 but it could have been B5.

About the perspective, I was thinking about a view of the whole stand so we could have a comparison scale for close-up views and understand why you think she is impressive in person.

Imo I am also fan of display installation (like watching seller's booth more than what they specifically sell).

I called my bank and they confirmed that they hadn't blocked them or anything, it's just that Volks didn't take the money.

 

A week after that they actually charged my account and took the money out.

 

In the midst of this I had sent an email to Volks inquiring about this, and they basically said don't worry it can take a week or two.

 

I'm guessing they have no clue how to do payment processing.

Actually this is pretty normal for CC processing like this. You get a hold, after a few days it goes away, then a couple more day the money actually gets taken. I've had this happen with several big ticket items from state side retailers when I order over the interwebs. It's not a Volks thing, it's how the system processes the charge. One time It happened, I ended up with the merchandise before the final charge was processed. I called the retailer and they said they had charged my card. Two days later it showed up on my account.

I've purchased plenty of things from different places -- Japan, US, UK and of course Australia, and I've never had anything like this happen before.

 

Normally I buy something and the transaction instantly appears in my pending transactions list and the money is removed from my available balance. In two or three days the transaction is finalised and moves to my completed transactions and it's all done.
