Actually this is pretty normal for CC processing like this. You get a hold, after a few days it goes away, then a couple more day the money actually gets taken. I've had this happen with several big ticket items from state side retailers when I order over the interwebs.

 

hmm... maybe different banks have diff ways of doin this...

Volks 'hold' was around for a week and then was gone (no money has been taken yet) but usually I'd have that 'charge pending' hanging around w/out disappearing for at least 2 weeks if the vendor is being very slow with processing on their end

 

Doing a quick check on Volks site shows my order still there, so guess just gonna wait a lil bit more

Volks is so trolling me. I've always left the Dofflie newsletter box checked when I buy from Volks USA, but for over a year never got emails. But recently I have been getting more (Perhaps there was a spent amount I had to reach before they added me to the list, who know.), and today was unbelievable. The subject was "Have you placed your pre-order for Saber and Ruler yet?" It's like they are guilting me not to just buy one, but both of the girls!

Honestly, what I really want are the Fate guys (okay, mostly Archer), but they'll have to wait until Volks makes a DD boy who isn't short and scrawny

I would pay cash money for the MALE Saber (Fate/Prototype)

He doesn't even need to come with any swords, just ... Volks, plz give us this sometime in my life time

Just a reminder, I will be placing orders for both Jeanne and saber soon. For anyone who lives or visiting SoCal winter of next year, it will save you some money.

I have ordered Saber and in 11/02 Volks charged the deposit in my bank account. Ten days later Volks refunded the deposit. The order is still in place. Someone has the same "problem"?

Got an email a few minutes ago informing me that they had charged my card for the order. The charge still isn't showing on my statement though....

 

Not even as a temporary authorization.

 

The email did include this text, but I am not entirely sure it applies:

 

*If you ordered "Pre-Order Item" or "SD Satogaeri Services", your credit card

will charge you after the cancellation period ends(before packing your order).

 

*Please check the release date and shipping details on each item page.

Pre-ordered the day the opened orders too. It's been nearly a month since I placed it.

I got my email from Volks yesterday morning about charging my credit card and I placed my order for Saber at midnight on the first day of the pre-orders. AsianEd and I stayed up late refreshing pages until they came up and we both had our orders in within 5 minutes of the start.

I ordered mine in the 28th October as well, about half an hour after the orders opened.

 

My transaction finally settled on 10th November.

 

Due to the authorisation disappearing I emailed Volks about it, the response was:

It takes from several days to several weeks for the customer to process the payment and confirm the payment of the credit card.

 

A month is a really long time, I'm not sure if that's in the scope of "several weeks".

 

When the balance is due I'll be paying with Paypal

Someone asked for a full shot of Jeanne and her flag earlier in the thread. Volks USA posted one to facebook.

 

 

You can see the mono-filament line being used to support it too.

Better use the original source. Better quality and not fessebouc. I pity those who will have to set the installation if they want the flag to be taut.

At least there seems to be some wire in the flag itself to keep it tensed.

If some people haven't seen it, they posted a picture of Jeanne without her headgear:

Wish I could preorder her, but I'm hesitant since they might decide to release Jeanne Alter soon after Jeanne's release, just like how they released original Saber + Saber Alter the same year. Even if I have a year (or maybe even more) to save up, I'm not sure if I could afford both of them if that happens..

I just placed my order for Saber! I'm tempted to get Jeanne as well but I'm not that keen on her armor. 2 more days to think about it!

By the skin of my teeth I got preorders placed for both. Saber was on the 14th and Ruler just a few minutes ago. It will be interesting to see what it's like to go through VolksUSA this time. No stressing over exchange rates will be a nice change. Now if my life wasn't being forcibly being taken over by Obitsuroids and dang AmiAmi preorders. And of course I caved and preordered the Saber Nendoroid.

 

Affordable, Raven said. It will be fun, he said. I fear we may have the same number of Obitsuroids by the end of the year that took 6 years to collect in DD. I still worry what will happen if/when any of the DD catch the Obitsuroid bug. Although I do have Ringo to blame for a lot of it. Then seeing Victor & Yuri Obitsuroids just did me in. At least Saber will have a 'mini me' and give me some time to think about what to do with his DD character. I've wanted a boy saber for so long that I'm still a little in shock that he's ordered. Just realized I need to be looking for a blond boy wig. That's always frustrating because they are never interesting enough. Most just look like a Spaceballs helmet type haircut, or just look like a shaggy mess. I know I could go with longer hair for him, but it just won't work for him personality wise.

If someone gets the DD Ruler, can that person please kindly check if the current DD III option parts (the vinyl parts -not the frame) would fit on the DD f3 body? I mean like the busts and stuff like that. Thanks very much in advance.

I do remember that the payment for Saber was due before Ruler because Ruler was being shipped at a later date.

I did have Saber's pre-order page saved so I was able to get the one for Ruler as well. There doesn't seem to be much information on their pages about the payments though.
