FGO X Dollfie Dream : Jeanne d'arc and Saber

I might be getting some for my dolls. Does anyone here know what the quality of these is?

Also curious about new outfits, but I haven't been able to find the scans yet.

The fact that they’re available not only at Dolpa but at the after event both in store and online as well truly begs the question of how many cancelled orders there were 😦 I wonder if this happens every PO Project or if the increased cost of these two was a bigger deterrent for people following through than usual.

I had wondered at that as well. It’s not usual for unsold dolls to be sold at a Dolpa, but for them to be online too means they have a lot of them. I feel bad for Volks if that many people bailed. 

I’m sure these dolls will find owners, I mean Blue Saber used to sell for 3k aftermarket, but it will be interesting to see how long they are for sale online.  

I seriously doubt they are sitting on a ton of unsold Sabers and such.  We all know the real reason these are coming up for sale....

 

Saber and Miku are Volks' license to print money.  Period.  😄  They re-release Saber every so often and offer up older versions like Alter and Extra every so often too.  The Blue Arturia and Jeanne were very popular before and lots of people didn't go for them for one reason or another.  So those people will want them along with newcomers into the hobby.  

Volks knows the Fate girls are popular so I'm pretty sure they print up a few hundred every so often to help out collectors and make some extra cash too.

Did it say that in the link?  I didn't look at that, I was just going off what Beyondtime said.    If it's sales of cancelled orders then I wouldn't think they have too many of them.  It's too bad Volks never publishes any numbers for what they make or sell, it would be really nice for collectors to know.

Oh she definitely is!  I'd love to have one but I'm completely out of doll funds at the moment and then Xmas is coming so I gotta do that for family.  So no Jeanne for me.  I have her outfit set so that's fine for me right now.  😉  And yeah I didn't notice the older talk so I was just going off your newest comment.  No biggie, it's not like I can read Japanese anyway and would have known what that flyer says.  It's good that they're selling them again so more people can get one but I still think the numbers will be pretty low on them for this sale.  I mean, Volks still does that thing where if you make an order and then default on the payment they ban you right?  I can't imagine number over 100 doing that..... but maybe I'm wrong?  It just sounds odd to me.

They’re cart sale, so they might be up for a long time like Uzuki was.

Maybe because they were so expensive they just got more cancelations than usual, or maybe Volks found and closed a bunch of scalper accounts that had pending orders. 

I am so excited. I really hope there is enough to go around. Jeanne is one of the few dolls I regret not buying so I am definately going to try to get her.

Ohhh now I didn't think about scalpers being caught.  That makes a lot more sense.  I can imagine Volks figuring out a few accounts and seeing they had 20 or more each set up then cutting them all off.  Good insight sir, I hadn't thought of that angle!
