I'm somewhat annoyed that the grey coat doesn't seem to have a DDP-fitting size at all. I'm somewhat tempted to just buy the MDD/SDM size and sell it if it fits too oddly, as I really like the design.

The Pink Label MDD skirt and dress set is pretty nice; I might end up getting that one as well.

But the Koibito hands are a must! They're super cute. Hopefully some turn up on Y!JA for a reasonable price.

 

A few observations we were making on the subject of DDP clothing fits in another thread.

 

I did get the MDD swimsuit, and it is listed as DDP. I bought a pair of MDD underwear, which is not marked as DDP compatible, by mistake awhile back. I just compared the hips size on that to the hip size on the MDD swimsuit from August, and they seem to be the same. The swimsuit is probably going to stretch a good deal more than the underwear due to the fabric, but I'll be curious to see if the pantsu will fit DDP after all.

There's a number of things I really like this round, hmmmm...

Uuugh I need the blue Dragon 2020 outfit for sure. . . and I really want those mint chocolate lolita dresses too, AND the Koibito hands. Fate and Nanoha NEED those hands.

 

I think the price got cut off on the blue Dragon 2020 set--what's the damage on it?

Blue is 17800, pink is 16800.

OK, my unsolicited thoughts.

 

I have to get the blue Dragoon 2020 set. I have no idea which of my girls will wear it, but I love that outfit too much.

 

I like the M-bust version of the Mint Chocolate sets. I tried for these back when they were the Strawberry Chocolate sets, but whiffed on the lottery. The question this time around is whether I really want it or not. It looks nice, but it would probably fall into that category of outfits my girls don't wear often enough to be meaningful.

 

For the Halloween sets, I think the MDD version made out like a bandit. I really like the MDD version, but I have no intention of ever adding a MDD to the family. The regular DD version is nice. I'll probably get that one.

 

I definitely like the vampress themed set (long skinny dress with spiderweb). That's right up Cynthia's alley. My only reservation is that similar evening gown sets (Underworld Queen, Mademoiselle) have left me a bit disappointed because they don't quite measure up in reality to the promo images. The choker shown with it is also a separate item, and I don't know if that really matters to me or not. I'll have to see what I think when these items go up.

 

Of the more casual things, my favorite is the one with the grey blouse and long green skirt. I'll almost certainly get that one.

 

And for footwar I'll have to pick up the heeled mary janes and the red pumps with the black bows. Otherwise Amber won't forgive me.

 

This is probably the only Volks News I've seen where I could see myself having some level of interest in everything in it. The sailorish dresses look cute. Those all black ones in the White Rose Collection also look nice. There's just too much good stuff this batch.

 

So, my priorities will probably be as follows:

 

1. Blue 2020 set

2. Shoes

3. DD M/L Halloween set

4. Green skirt Pink Label set

5. DD L/Dy Halloween set

 

Yeah, something's probably going to have to give.

I mix and match my Strawberry Chocolate set a lot, so I would say if that is of the things you like doing, they're definitely worth it :3

I might actually have to try my hand at a Volks Int click war to get my hands on those Miku outfits. sigh

I notice it says quantity limit for the new standards so I assume they only made a certain amount for the first wave and will then restock after. I wonder if they'll sell quickly?

It always says quantity limit for dolls sold on intl. store. It just means you can only buy one at a time. I don't think there's a need to worry about not being able to buy them. Maybe they'll sell out, maybe not. But they'll be back sooner or later.

Hey, I figure I should ask -- for a lot of the new outfit lines, I'm planning on waiting til they show up on VolksUSA to buy them instead of Volks Int., but occasionally things don't show up in the USA store, right? I remember hearing that the Macross dolls were only sold out of Japan due to licensing issues, or something like that. Is there any way to tell beforehand if something won't come over to VolksUSA?

 

(I don't think my concerns really apply for, say, the new Miku 7th Dragon outfits since the other 7th Dragon sets are being sold on VolksUSA, just thinking about it in general.)

Correct, USA seems to get a subset of what gets released in the Japan events. Not sure if there is any rhyme or reason to it. I'm guessing USA just buys what they think will sell here.

No one know if they will stain, only that they can stain, aka staining is a possibility.

Just go ahead and assume any black clothing items will stain with direct contact. If you do that, you'll be right 99.999999% of the time. Usually the only question is whether they stain on contact or whether it takes an hour.

How long does it take for items to get released in USA after they go up on the Japan volks?

 

I want to get that little ash rose bag/satchel for Tahquil, however if I buy it from the Japan site it won't arrive to my usual address until after I start a 6 week holiday in North America.

Usually 2-3 months. End of this month we're finally getting the stuff from beginning of September. And Volks USA is always a lottery, not a click war.

Iirc they tried clickwars at one point, but even after their website was moved to a new host it still couldn't handle the strain so they switched to lottery.

 

I've found the USA lottery isn't too bad. I don't think I've ever lost an item I entered for, but... big qualifier here, I've never entered for any of the Miku items.
