Hello from Midwestern US!

I thought I posted one of these but, upon further inspection, it would seem I have not...

 

So! Hello! My (nick)name is Raine! I've known about and admired Dollfie Dreams since I joined the BJD hobby about eight years ago. I can't believe it's been that long. Anyway, it's about time I take the plunge...since Volks released their new standard girls, I've fallen head over heels with Towa. I've been hunting for that perfect face for awhile now and I think she might be it. Or...one of them, as it turns out so often. (The 09 head is gorgeous. Just saying.)

 

Among my collection of BJDs I own a Dearmine, Fairyland, Angell-Studio, Luts, and a SOOM. Quite the motley crew but I love my resins. And I cannot say how excited I am to add an adorable anime girl to the collection!

 

I have one great local friend to blame who showed me the path of the Dollfie, and I can only guess the depth of the rabbit hole I'm being lead down but time will tell. I'm hoping to make new acquaintances and contacts within this facet of the hobby to help teach me the way of vinyl, and am very excited to be here!

 

So assuming I win the click-war later this month, I'll be taking home my Towa and putting her on a normal DD body, medium or large bust, not sure which yet. Her name is kind of in the air at the moment, but I'm sure that'll come.

VERY much belatedly (my apologies), thank you so much! I know, I'm so excited for her. I hope I get her in the first release!!

Oh, someone else in the Midwest. I say in, because I am not from, but currently live in the far north of the Midwest. Yet, having been about, there is so much great scenery in the region. One of the purposes of Dollfies and other BJD is to be a photo companion. In the future I'd like to make use of this. The Midwest has so much to offer. Why not use our girls to show everyone what the Midwest has to offer?

Welcome! nice to see more midwesterners here! tho ohio is about as east as it gets for "midwest" haha. i too have a friend who got me into this hobby years ago, so its nice to see people who have similar stories. hope you enjoy your time here and we hope to see your towa soon!
