Sprout and Hurricane Matthew

Recommended Posts

Somehow I forgot to post these photos here, no clue why.

Anyways, back when Hurricane Matthew blew thru here, it was Sprout's day to be with me. I was off work due to the storm and our power went out for 13 hours. In that time she sat with me while I read and she also sat in the window watching the storm. It got quite windy here and we had lots of rain. I quite like rainstorms but winds of 50mph+ aren't much fun to listen to.

Since she was distracted by watching the storm, I grabbed my camera and got a few pics of her looking out the window and talking to her stuffed bunny.

Luckily we didn't have any branches or trees hit the house and there was no flooding in my neighborhood. Getting off the island the next day sucked tho because one of the two roads on and off the island was flooded out. Stupid hurricanes....

I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

Nice to be able to do something while cooped up. As for flooding, I was surprise to see how dried it looked in the photos through the window. But then I do live in a very dry climate. The ground is so hard that any water just collects on top and runs all over. It'll be hours before the ground can soften up enough to take the water in, so we get flash floods with just a 1/2 of downfall.
