ToriaCrux Posted October 12, 2017 I remember reading somewhere that the heights of the 1/3 Obitsu dolls aren't totally accurate. Is that true? If it is then could somebody tell me the actual heights? (・⊝・) Tumblr DOA
K-2 Posted October 12, 2017 I remember reading somewhere that the heights of the 1/3 Obitsu dolls aren't totally accurate. Is that true? If it is then could somebody tell me the actual heights? Parabox retails Obitsu bodies and designs their own versions, which Obitsu manufactures for them. They have a good reference page with body dimensions for 40cm through 60cm Obitsu bodies. http://parabox.jp/eng_new/obitsu/60size_chart.html Overall heights are really dependent on what head is on the body. But yeah, for the most part the listed body heights are not the actual overall heights of finished dolls.
elianti Posted October 13, 2017 The Parabox page that K-2 linked is probably the most detailed page about on Parabox/standard Obitsu measurements out there.. Adding 10cm(for the neck + head.. it varies a bit depending on head size but this about the length of an Obitsu 50cm neck with a DDH-09 head, at least) to the 'base of neck to bottom of feet' measurement is pretty accurate imo. I always thought it was kinda odd that they are called Obitsu 48/50/60/etc when it's more like 50/52/58cm. xD
K-2 Posted October 13, 2017 I always thought it was kinda odd that they are called Obitsu 48/50/60/etc when it's more like 50/52/58cm. xD I've always thought of these numbers more like "classes", like automobile sizes/types. A certain car can be thought of as a compact, but all compacts are not necessarily the same exact size. 60cm being the median height for 1/3 scale dolls, 50cm the median for 1/4 scale, etc. So the Obitsu 60cm is in the same "class" as other 60cm bodies, but not exactly the same height as other "60cm" dolls.
