Ie-Aster Posted October 15, 2017 Thank you so much, everyone! She looks so ethereal! Almost like some kind of apparition melting out of the shadows. I'm glad that ethereal mood is visible in the photos--that's definitely the style for which I was going. I've seen that style of photo in many resin photoshoots on DoA and flickr, but it seems less common with DDs. I'm not sure why, since it's not like that kind of atmosphere isn't used in anime, manga, and manga-style illustration. Your girl is always so beautiful. Her eyes make her look like she's longing for something... Thank you so much! Yes, it seems like there is something, or someone, for which she longs a great deal... I really like the atmosphere of the photo ~ Thank you! As much as I enjoy bright and colorful shots, it is fun to do these more mysterious, low-key-lighting shoots as well. I love the effect. Thank you! The way the mirror creates slight distortions, combined with the vintage lens (a Helios 44) creates a very interesting feel. I also like having the frame of the mirror create what my high school photography teacher called "a frame within a frame". At home: Mei (DDP Lucy custom), Aku (DDB Takane custom) En route: L.
