New Standard Models: DDS Karin, DDdy Towa, MDD Liliru

I thought about both but have been leaning heavily towards getting Towa next because shy dollfie dreams just don't seem to be made often. (I think I'm just going to see if I can manage to save for Mariko though, not sure)

Sakuno, Sasara, Manaka, Alice.... there are probably more depending on what defines "shy" for you.

My thought was smallish mouth and perhaps a bit from faceup.

 

Also somewhat affordable though. Hard enough to put $500 into a single doll, let alone $2000.

 

Right now I'm fairly torn between Towa, Yukino or just saving for Mariko....but as much as I love that doll, I can't imagine spending that much on one....I think I'd regret it as I consider all three similar enough in face.

Every picture I see of Karin makes me regret opting for a blank 06+DDS body instead of her. Maybe someday I can get her head... OTL

No, I feel she looks derpy. But it's still interesting to see what people do with her, for instance I really like the wig and outfit Youpla has on her above.

I might be waking up late, but I have just realized that their heads are not the standard 01>10/11? I was thinking about getting a Karin to customize, but unless they will release the head later on, I think I need to take part to some kinds of splits to get her head only

Yes, it is interesting that the new standards aren't numbered! I would love it if they added the heads to the numbered head lineup. Funny that they did the exact opposite with the DDH-07.

The reason they aren't numbered is because you can now get readymade numbered girls as D'Coords or DreamChoices, which kind of defeats the purpose for standard dolls with the same heads as that.

The only thing is that once the old standards sell out there won't be an online option for a complete doll with one of the numbered heads outside buying blank parts yourself. I wonder if they plan to fill that gap, even if it's just offering preprinted numbered heads now and then.

Plus it's not a completely new thing--Mirai and Candy aren't numbered heads, are they?

Well, this makes me wanting a Karin even more, now.

Karin is the model for one of the new February collection outfits with a different wig, it's a cute look for her.

The new standards are so cute. I still can't decide on them though. :/

At least I have a little time to figure it all out!
