Ie-Aster Posted November 12, 2017 These aren't the best photos--I was rushing a bit as I didn't particularly want my flatmate to see me photographing a giant doll in the living room, ahah--but I happened to find a vinyl Pokémon of the species her character studies in a local shop, and wanted to take pictures. Makomo is a researcher who studies Munna, the dream-eating Pokémon. Right now, she's just found a very young, small, Munna (they're usually about three times the size of this little one)... sorry about the lumpy folding of the coat >__< Makomo's little pocketbook is a beautifully crafted piece of leatherwork from Etsy shop 1pinfun. I'm really happy with how she has turned out! The last thing she needs to be 100% finished is a pair of pink ballet flats (which are surprisingly hard to find, it turns out...especially since the Sakura Matou ones seem to be prone to disintegrating). Anna-neko Posted November 12, 2017 Makomo looks great ^_^ she and Mei will probably have long talks sharing detangling conditioner tips
Raine Posted November 12, 2017 Oh she's so sweet! Also yay, Pokemon characters! I love to see people reading and taking into account the actual Pokemon descriptions and bios - a lot are REALLY weird, interesting, and frankly creepy (here's lookin' at you, Litwick) but I love them. I can't wait to see more photos of her around tending to her pokestudies! Also pink ballet flats: http://codenoirdoll.com/workshop/cls000071-apricot-ballet-sd-p-6715.html?cPath=424_470 I have the blue pair and they're quite lovely. I haven't tried them on my DD but they're standard SD sized, I'm sure they'd fit fine! That said I'm surprised the pink option doesn't have pink ribbons...but if you're brave with hotglue you could change that easy-peasy! Or, you could just get any pair of appropriately-colored flats and glue in some ribbons. Any length, any color! --- Astrid (Dollfie Dream Sister Anastasia) Ana (Dollfie Dream III Towa) Maddie/Mads (Mini Dollfie Dream f3 DDH-10) Elise (Dollfie Dream Dynamite 2B)
Monty Posted November 13, 2017 She really is so beautiful! I'm glad you were able to find a Munna for her, even if it is a teeny tiny one. *twitter*instagram*art*
elianti Posted November 13, 2017 I thought that Makomo looked nice with an 07 head, but Towa really makes her look even lovelier! With her glasses she looks so thoughtful and sweet~ And baby Munna looks adorable with her! I noticed that Mei's eevee was also a figure--will you be focusing on figures for their Pokémon friends, or would plushies be okay too? If plushies are fine, the Pokémon Center Munna plush is a bit smaller than 1:3 scale, and the Banpresto super dx is juuust a bit bigger. It would be cool if she has lots of Munna of different ages. ^^ I'd really love to see Mei with Makomo sometime!
Ie-Aster Posted November 14, 2017 Thank you so much, everybody! Makomo looks great ^_^ she and Mei will probably have long talks sharing detangling conditioner tips Thanks! Eheh, I'm indeed a bit apprehensive about her wig--Mei's isn't that bad since the long parts are fairly small strands, but this one has a lot more volume for potential tangling. I'm sure my supply of wig spray will be put to full use! Oh she's so sweet! Also yay, Pokemon characters! I can't wait to see more photos of her around tending to her pokestudies! One of us! One of us! Munna are definitely one of those sooomewhat creepy Pokémon--not in terms of what they do directly, but what one could do with their powers. Not only can they eat dreams, they can also project images of those dreams using mist--so as you can imagine, they might be used by the villainous team for high-level "thought police" surveillance to see if anybody is dreaming about treacherous activities... However, they're also able to sense the ambitions of the humans around them, and have (at least in the anime) been known to react negatively to evil-minded ambitions. And thank you--I'm glad you like her! Also pink ballet flats:http://codenoirdoll.com/workshop/cls000071-apricot-ballet-sd-p-6715.html?cPath=424_470 I have the blue pair and they're quite lovely. Ah, what I actually meant were plain flats, not pointe-like shoes--I realize wasn't super clear about it, though. I greatly appreciate your going to the trouble to give me the link and recommendation though! Meguchi, I have to say that was exactly what I thought when I saw Towa's face! She really seems perfect for glasses She really is so beautiful! I'm glad you were able to find a Munna for her, even if it is a teeny tiny one. Thank you so much! I'm glad you like her! I was very happy when I happened to see the Munna in the shop. It was by chance that I was in there, anyway, since I just happened to be wandering around in that area--so it seemed sort of like fate I thought that Makomo looked nice with an 07 head, but Towa really makes her look even lovelier! I'm glad you like her ^_^ I've mostly been using figures since they seem to be slightly more realistic looking, especially the eyes (cf. embroidered eyes), but if there are plush with glass/plastic eyes I'd definitely consider them. I'll look up the ones you mentioned--thanks! I appreciate the recommendations At home: Mei (DDP Lucy custom), Aku (DDB Takane custom) En route: L.
