Their lottery for the SDs begins Thursday, and the Dolpa 38 clothing starts on the 23rd. The special site for the clothes lottery isn't up yet, so we don't even know if the Sailor Moon Super set is included yet.

I'm in the same boat as you - I got an email saying my CC translation was completed but my "available credit" in my online banking shows that Volks released the hold on my funds (my "available credit" immediately decreased after I entered the lottery).

 

I never received an email saying that I won, but when I log into my Volks account it shows Entry status: order.

Yeah - that would be helpful. None of this weird ambiguity. I've been hesitant to say anything to anyone for the past week because I wasn't sure if I won or not.

My proxy said she was the showroom model, but they did sell her to him. And the tracking number shows she's left Japan. As long as customs isn't messed up by a government shut down I should have her next week. I am beside myself, can't really believe I'm getting her. Someone pinch me.

Yes, I'll dobleepent the while thing if you'd like. But be aware it'll probably be Yaya doing the commenting, unless Saber is around...

 

I've also ordered a S bust for her as I've read that the outfits seem really tight on M busts, and in my head she was never that well endowed to begin with. But we'll see once they are both here if I do the swap or not.

She came sooner than I expected! It seems the power of the moon allows you to clear customs in hours instead of days. But I'm stuck at work! I hope the contents are in better shape then the shipping box.

Me: Woah there. [Quickly reaches over and disarms her.]

Yaya: A lady never reveals her secrets. Yaya already has too much competition for Daddy's affections that Yaya must stay prepared.

Me: I see. Well I'll open the box and you can help unwrap things.

 

 

Yaya: Too bad they put all this padding and wrapping in here. Sadly looks like nothing is broken.

 

 

Yaya: Yaya knew it, it's another girl, and a blonde at that. Daddy told Yaya Daddy didn't like blondes.

Me: No, I said you didn't look good as a blonde. You must have your beautiful jet black hair.

 

 

Yaya: [Plops down.] Flattery will not put a smile on Yaya's face this time, but at least Daddy knows Yaya is beautiful.

Me: You've always been beautiful. Why else do you think I had to hunt you down as soon as I knew you existed? Now help me get her out of the box.

I don't recall any of the other dolls having a sticker on the end of the box like this, but then I'm usually paying more attention to the contents. The box is nice and shiny. The sleeve is a pearl metallic and the inner carton is silver.

 

 

With her removed, here is the outfit and extras. That's a lot of hands and gloves. Like I said before, I was told she was the display model, so the circles on the chest of the outfit I thought were from being warn already, but that wasn't the case.

 

 

Here's a close up of the items in the accessory box. Her tiara just fell out of the box. Looks like they made the tray to put it in, but the tiara is too big to fit, so I wonder if there was changes made mid production.

 

 

Here is the box and hands again. The earring pins are taped to the box. Her ears were not pierced, so they didn't display her with the earrings. I almost wish they had, then I wouldn't have the internal debate as to wither to pierce them or not.

 

 

Here is everything else laid out ready to dress her. They have a hand for each glove. Of note the paper she came with says that the unmatched hands are all the large version, but the two pairs of hands she came with are the normal hands. I don't know why they did that. I might just get the smaller hands for her as I like those better. The glove fingers are also sewn down to help match the hands better.

 

 

And here is a closeup of her face. They gave her the blush hash marks. I didn't notice that until later that night when I put her on my desk. Now follows the instructions she came with.

 

 

 

 

You can see the page where it lists the hands as the large version. I love on the back page how it tell you how to put her wig on. I did it that way, and sure enough it popped right on. Only time I've gotten a wig on right the first time. Wish they had did that.

 

 

Here she is with just the body suit on. Talk about a tight fit. I had to use her arms to get the top up on her shoulders. And the snaps in the back are pulling at the seems, and you can look down her top and see just about all the way to 'Paris'. She will be getting a S bust when I change her outfit (Yaya: About time one of them are getting sized right. When will the rest get smaller oppai than Yaya?). I'm also not sure how this outfit would fit the tall DDIII body, it really doesn't have much stretch. And remember how the bust of the outfit looked in the box, it's because there are padded circles in the bust. Probably because it is so tight they wanted it to flatten out 'headlights'.

 

 

 

 

Here she is all dressed up and ready to fight evil in the name of the moon. With the 'hub caps' on I love her hair. The ringlets are awesome. I wish there was a 2nd wig that had her 'meatballs' like they are without being transformed.

It's just the right size to put one doll box in and snap it shut. Or you can get two boxes in and still not worry about them falling out.

Looks like Volks settled on that "chara collab" box design now. Sasara ver2 was the earliest (that im aware of) box like that. The white on outside with VS cut-out letter on side and chara images glued on top and bottom of boxes

 

Interesting the brooch clips into the bow like that.... I was wondering how Volks were gonna handle it!

I agree about the wig- the style is flawless and looks the most accurate of any SM wig I've seen- but only WITH the odango shields. Without them it just looks like donuts on her head lol. I have a loose, wavy wig coming from Leekeworld for her, but I'm gonna need to find a good normal odango wig. The Pullip versions have really nicely-styled odango but the tails are a bit too short- might be fine for a casual Usagi though.

 

The bust+ outfit thing sounds slightly annoying lol, I wonder why they didn't just go with an S bust. Nevertheless mine is definitely getting a switcheroo, I'm even thinking about going with a single-piece torso because I love the look of those.

That was one HUGE bunch of photos! But I loved how you showed all the packaging and instructions and parts that she came with. It's amazing how many hands and gloves she has! And she looks great too, the outfit is pretty much spot on in my opinion. Great wig and overall look too.

 

Poor Yaya. She feels so bad about yet another girl entering her house. I love how she pouts but is still semi interested in Usagi.

 

Don't worry Yaya! I am sure that no matter how many girls show up at your house, your Daddy will always love YOU best. You're too adorable and fun not to!

As for the broach, yes, it holds nicely, which is more than I can say for the choker or the moons on her boots. If I move her around I have to double check I didn't loose a moon. I need to check the other outfit to see which bits are shared. If those moons are, I might need to make new ones so I can glue them to the boots of each set.

 

As for Yaya, she's the most stained, loose, and squeaky girl I have, so if that doesn't prove that amount of love she get, I don't know what will.

I feel that, since I am in the same exact situation with my Yuki xD she is all stained, poor girl.

or use the puffy/thick stickers!! They show up often in Michael's or similar stores... usually either with random stuff spread around the store, or in the papercrafts/scrapbooking areas

Also!! check around Claire's (or similar~ish stores?) - they often have lil kid "sticker earrings" sets, which often include shapes like cresent moons (heck, back in the day, there really were SailorMoon stick-on earrings sold)

I was worried I wouldn't win one so bought mine off Yahoo Japan. I've always wanted one, and if I ever get a display case, she'll go in there. I have seen some cute Sailor Moons out there and wanted to do one but then Volks releases her. I am so doomed if they do the rest...would love it if they did the four kings...Nephrite would be to die for, lol.

Not really interested in boy dolls myself, but that's actually a pretty cool idea. Volks could spend the next decade making Sailor Moon releases.

I would be in trouble if they did the other 4 inner scouts as they are really the only other ones I'd get. But I do really really want the Eternal SM outfit. That and some of her everyday outfits, like this one:
