Hang on, what are those eye things that are shown in one of the scans?

That's the Dream Fitter that comes with Dream Choice dolls. Apparently they're selling it separately, although it's not very exciting. I'd rather they make a proper apparatus for easily moving the eyes like the custom kits out there. It's basically a wad of foam and plastic backing that goes on the eyes to stop them sliding against the foam - the foam presses the eyes in place. The idea is that it's a very quick and easy way to change eyes - they had to come up with one for Dream Choice rather than glue the eyes in to make the process as streamlined as possible.

Edit: although, I'm wondering whether it would be worth putting some magnets behind the eyes and putting the dream fitter stuff in, and using a magnetic wand to move them around. That's similar to the 3rd party Eye Mover that's a bit more high-tech.

I saw the eye fitter and was mildly excited for a moment but it seems pretty basic like Torino said...

 

I will do terrible things to get one of those DD holiday-Santa dresses. Terrible, terrible things....

I'm not feeling it on Ruri or Sailor Moon, but I AM SO INTO THE OUTFITS.

 

I NEED the MDD version pink lolita and decora sets for Abby, I really do. The red formal gown would look amazing on Fate, and I don't know who would get the snow rabbit set, but I wants it. Then there's all those cute shoes. . .

I am, once again, safe! It feels like it's been a long time since Volks put out anything that really appealed to my specific aesthetic. The only holiday outfit they've done that I really adored was the Holiday Night Gifter pair, and that wasn't a Volks invention (just a recreation of an im@s design).

I've been trying to find better pics of the super sailor moon set page but does anyone know if it says Fits DD(ss/s/md) i'm hoping it does say MD cause thats what my usagi is and i don't want to have to buy another bust

The only holiday outfit they've done that I really adored was the Holiday Night Gifter pair, and that wasn't a Volks invention (just a recreation of an im@s design).

Those were gorgeous, especially the white one. I like those a lot better than the current Santa outfits. I’m kind of a sucker for anything that looks good on Makoto myself.

 

I felt safe until I saw the scans Torino posted. I do like some of the sweater sets, and the elegant dresses for SD13/16. Still, I have other things I want more as far as DD go in December. I’m more into the fall outfits than these. I was hoping for some really nice winter clothing.

The outfits do seem to say SS/S/M. That pretty much means they are likely to be sized for Medium, and will be baggy on the chest on SS & S. DD Usagi is an M bust it was just hard to see that on the earlier scans.

Uwahh, that Snowlight Rabbit outfit set is way too cute! I want to get it for my Yuuri so bad~ *A* ♥ I love snow-themed outfits and bunny ears make everything better, lol! I'm also loving the knit sweaters, my dolls are always in need of nice casual clothing~

 

While Sailor Moon and Ruri are both cute, luckily neither are must haves for me. I can continue saving up for Megurine Luka. :'3 Although, maybe at some point I'd like to get Sailor Moon's head for customisation purposes.

I need Sailor Moon and her outfit. Anyone want to be my proxy and pick her up in person? She has become my grail, and she isn't even released yet. I'm excited for her. And some of those other outfits are nice. but I want need Sailor Moon!

the wig on the snowlight bunny set is too cute >< it does not seem to be part of the set but I've never seen a volks wig this fluffy

Ohman, my Rin would look perfect that the pastel hoodie/skirt outfit and the Snowlight Rabbit looks perfectly made for Snow Miku (and mine has no "idol" outfits besides the two Miku default sets). Here's to hoping I get some X-mas money. >

Regarding Sailor Moon, I had a "wait, WHAT?" moment when I noticed that lil' yellow "Sumika Item" bubble next to her in the scans. Eh?! Either that's a misprint, or the doll is going to be sold first-come first-served without lottery, just like typical clothes. Interestingly, the only DDs to get that treatment normally are the standard models...? That's worth some further investigation. Very curious as to what that's going to mean.

 

I'm sure there's clarification in Volks News somewhere, or perhaps coming online soon.

 

Regarding Ruri, it looks like she'll be sold by preorder at Dollpoint Akiba on 12/23-24, with 100% of orders from those two days being filled. Delivery around 1/20. Then after that she'll be available for sale at the Sumika shops starting on 1/21, with no specific end date. Further info was cut off from the scan, but that seems to imply she won't be lottery either.

That's what I thought I was seeing too. It was very hard to read I wish I could find some better scans of that part. If it really does say MD I'm super freaking happy!

It will all be on Volks site in a few days if someone doesn't upload a clearer scan before then. You might check Dollfie Worlds facebook page periodically too. Sometimes Natalie uploads scans of Volks news.

@SakuraSylph I've noticed this a while back but whoever is uploading these scans almost never does the whole thing and regularly leaves out entire sections. I'm wondering if rather than someone sharing the contents with others the scans are actually just from someone excitedly sharing what they like best. I can understand leaving out reports and stuff but multiple pages of outfits are usually always missing. I don't mind supplying those but I'm not going to be in Japan forever so it'll be annoying (for me) to rely on incomplete scans after then.

It's true that the most important stuff ends up online anyway but I'm an impatient dude and it helps with budget planning to see this stuff a month or so in advance.

 

If anyone else is interested there are also the new wrist parts in tan skin to join the other tan parts available at DollPoint. I'm really happy about that cos it's something I wanted but I still want a seamless torso the most ;;

The more I think about it, the more annoyed and baffled I am about the Christmas outfits not coming to stores until January. It seems pointless, who's going to buy them then? I felt similarly about the Halloween outfits - at least they did come out a couple of days before Halloween itself, but I wanted my dolls to be able to wear them for all of October! Ah well, I'm already spoiled for choice this season so maybe it's a blessing in disguise

I KNOW RIGHT.... its even more frustrating because I really wanted a christmas dress Bri can wear - all I have is the Azone50 one, which looks great on Rin but there is no way anything bigger than S bust can squeeze into it. The L-bust/DDdy one is so nice but like I said...christmas stuff is only exciting from mid november to every day of December before the 25th. After that it just seems kinda sad and lame.

 

I guess its unavoidable because of their release schedule (Dolpa and then afterparty) so I guess this is why they don't do christmas outfits that often, unlike Azone who release them every year. But maybe they should have had them release with the October stuff instead...

 

but yeah on the plus side realizing I dont want to buy christmas dresses after christmas cut my wishlist/expenses in half. On the other plus side, I imagine not many other people would be super hyped about christmas-wear in late January, so maybe it'll sell pretty slowly in case I change my mind and want it for christmas 2018?!

 

@michinyan- there is an MDD hoodie set too, they also mention that they're kinda baggy anyway as a cute factor if its bagginess you're after.

Just means I'm more likely to get my hands on the Christmas dresses. I don't mind buying for next year. I'm just annoyed that the SS/S bust option is a tank top and shorts instead of a nice dress the the M/L and MDD ones are. Probably because I don't have any tom boys in my group which that outfit is geared for.

Ugghh, that Penguin costume is so tempting. I was considering for Alice's Penguin but glad I haven't bought it yet since it only fit nicely for DDS.

But then I'm currently waiting (and saving) for the DD3-f3 so really confused.
