MDD wig size?

Does anyone know what size wigs MDD wear? Are they the same as DD (8-9 inch) or are they a little smaller?

I think they wear the same wig size, as a DD can wear an MDD's wig.

Considering my Beatrice is wearing MDD Maria wig, i say that it uses the same size of wig.

But considering that DD heads can have different sizes depending of the model, it too can be true for MDD heads.

8-9 fits, as does 9-10 with a silicone wig cap

 

I love that my MDD can interchange wigs in my existing collection. I have one Volks MSD and she wears 7-8 which is way to small for DD/MDD heads

Thank you all for the information. I had heard that MSD use smaller wigs, so I wanted to be sure. I think it is great the wigs are interchangeable for DD and MDD.

It depends on DD head used and wig style and brand too, for example leeke and formydoll wigs i have 8-9" run big on 05 and 03 heads and on Alna , probably less with a cap but surely 9-10" would be enormous even with a cap on...

It depends on the head size :/ DDs and MDDs have quite the range for head sizes. I have Alna and MDD Maria who can wear elastic 7/8 wigs. Maria coudn't even wear her own default wig without silicone cap as it was too big :/ MDD Prisma Illya on the other hand had a such a huge head that smallest size for her is 8/9 wig. I've never tried 9/10 wigs on any of my girls as even some 8/9 wigs have been to big. I presume some of the bigger heads could wear those with silicone caps.

I second this. Head sizes vary a lot. Of course, in my experience wig sizes do to. Generally speaking all my three current girls fit in the 8-9 inch size well. Aria, my Sasara has the biggest head of any of my girls. The smaller or less stretchy 8-9 wigs I have either don't or just barely fit her. That being said many work just fine and she can wear a 9-10 without a silicone cap, but it may be just a tad loose. The tighter 8-9 wigs will fit Miku just fine although they may be a little snug. I haven't tried most of those wigs on Celia who is an Alisa but her head seems a little smaller than Miku's so I assume those would fit accordingly. I'm currently pining after the Illyas so I'll be seeing about snagging them soon.

 

Anyways, the general size range for both DDs and MDDs is 8-9 but it does vary by sculpt at times.

Thank you for all this info. I came from the BJD hobby thinking MDDs would also share the same size as MSDs.
