Opening a new outfit from Narcisse Noir! [DD Lucy]

Since approximately August, I've been looking for some autumnal/wintery outfits for Mei, a DD Lucy on an Obi50 (~DDP size) body. At first I got a very elaborate, frilly Azone outfit set (Traditional Grimoire), which while I like it a great deal, isn't really Mei's character's style.

It's a bit more difficult to find outfits in this size, since while most MDD stuff fits, the longer legs and torsos of Obi50/DDP size dolls can make some of these MDD outfits look rather awkward--for instance because shirts end up being too short.

Thus, I was very excited to see that the Japanese dressmaker Narcisse Noir had put up a super cute outfit on YJA-- a short sweater dress for MDD that would be a long sweater for Obi50/DDP. It also came with a warm shawl, long socks, a beautiful necklace with a heart-shaped key and heart-shaped lock, and a shawl-pin.

The packaging is also very cute.

It came with a business card as well as this instruction sheet? promo sheet? I'm not sure, but the reverse has a print of one of Narcisse Noir's beautiful photographs from the original listing, so I'd definitely be keeping it just for that.

Since on Obi50 the dress is more of a top than a dress, I paired it with the Volks Midsummer Ruffle shorts. I'm not sure they entirely work, but the other outfit which has a skirt that I think would match better hasn't yet arrived...

Also, none of these are particularly great photos--I've been in kind of a photography slump lately--but the outdoor ones are the first ones I've ever taken outside in the city alone. It was kind of nervewracking. A newspaper delivery lady and some person walking a dog came quite near, but thankfully they didn't say anything...

The clothes are beautifully and very professionally made. The softness of the sweater fabric is particularly remarkable, and the cut and draping are very nice. I just wish my photos could do it justice

Finally, here's a shot in the dolls' "room", with the Christmas tree.

I love how well this outfit suits Mei's style and personality.

I'm super happy with this set. It's somewhat harder to get one of Narcisse Noir's outfits since you will need to go through a Y!JA proxy (and some of the more elaborate designs prompt heavy bidding wars), but they are truly beautiful, high-quality pieces and I would highly recommend them.

Thanks! Narcisse Noir makes some amazing designs.

I didn't even think of that, but a ribbon is a great idea!
