Christmas Card from Volks

The Anastasia I ordered (From Volks USA.) for my wife came yesterday and I opened the shipping box long enough to make sure it was Anastasia's box in there. When I pulled the paperwork out, a card fell out. It was a Christmas card from Volks. Anyone else get one?

The inside. They didn't all sign the card, they are printed signatures. Still a nice touch.

Yup I got one when I picked up my Anastasia at the store. It's really cute. The girl on the front is a DDH-06

That's a really cute gesture. It kinda reminds me of the staff signature pages in artbooks you see sometimes.

I'm so glad your wife's Anastasia arrived in time for Christmas!

 

I think the model on the front of the card is the DDH-06 too.

Both the doodle and the Christmas card are so cute. It's really nice to see them do stuff like these.

I didn't receive anything last year, and if they're sending stuff in Japan this year I haven't got it yet. But Japan doesn't really do Christmas cards though so it's more likely they'd be New Year cards. I know some companies do it - Ufotable will send New Year cards to any of their twitter followers who want one, so I'm kinda looking forward to seeing if it happens although it might just be a VolksUSA thing.

It's a really sweet gesture though!

It's probably just the Miku sets that got cute doodles. My ruffle blouse set that came this morning didn't have a doodle with it either...

I didn't see a doodle on my lottery stuff (none of which was Miku related,) but I did get the card with Yayoi.

 

I got a card with Yayoi and Iori when they arrived. However I DID get a cool doodle in a prior order!

 

They're both awesome gestures but that card is definitely a nice touch.

aww, I wish they will mail one from VOLKS japan, haven't placed orders for dolls on VOLKS usa mainly because of the exchange rate, really missed out on these christmas cards, hah

Update: Volks did send me a New Years card!

It looks like they were probably sent to all VIP members in Japan, although they are stamped for the specific store so mine came from the Fu kuoka store.

What I didn't expect was that it was handwritten and personalized.

‘Happy New Year! You have always come to take such lovely photos, we are always thinking ‘how lovely…’. Please come and take lots of photos this year too!’

At the bottom is reminders of the next store events (one-off lottery SDs and Dolpa Afterevent).

I want to see what the other people here in Fu kuoka got written on theirs and how many people got more personalized messages and how many got more generic ones. (I'm in the store at least once a month to take photos so they know me and my dolls pretty well)

The really neat thing is there's some kind of kuji (an IRL gacha, if you will) for people who got a new year card, I just gotta take it into the store before the 3rd and see what I win, if anything. I have no idea what kinda prizes there will be (vouchers? old stock?) or if I even win anything at all but I will report back if I do.

 

This was a really nice surprise, I didn't get one last year.

I didn't win anything sadly although according to Twitter it seemed most of the prizes were random wigs, and I'm not a huge fan of Volks' non-limited wigs anyway.
