Peel off liquid latex as a stain guard, anyone tried it?

Recommended Posts

I was watching a nail art channel and was curious, would liquid latex react chemically with dollfie dreams? For me personally the worst staining happens at the toes and heels, so I wondered if maybe adding a little bit of liquid latex would help prevent staining in those spots in the future.

Just a thought!

Liquid Latex is just as porous (if not more so) than vinyl. While it would provide a temporary barrier (like a body suit or silicone head cap) it will not stop future staining. Knowing the Liquid Latex barrier is in place may also give you a false sense of security allowing an aggressive dye to penetrate the latex and the vinyl beneath it between inspections.

This makes me wonder if there's anything that could provide stain protection. If not liquid latex, what about a silicone of some sort? It would be quite nice to simply apply a release agent, a silicone spray or brush-on formula, wait until it all dries and then clothe/wig the doll in confidence.
