Pictures of custom MDDs

Thinking of indulging in getting a MDD girl and trying my hand at faceups. I've seen some awesome ddh01 and ddh04 customs but I lost the links to all the ones I was fond of. If anyone could share any type of custom head on mdd body, I would be thrilled! (trying to also generally see what heads look good on the mdd body)

 

Doubt there are any out but was also wondering if there were any ddh06 heads on mdd bodies anywhere.

Also, any dds and mdd comparisons would be nice.

Only Manami and Miyuki are a custom heads tho, all the others are Volks defaults. Hopefully these will give you some idea of what DD heads look like on the MDD body.

Mai on a MDD body is too cute... I would like to get a Mai head and a spare MDD body one day <3

 

If you are interested in limeted mold heads I can leave you some pictures of my Reimu head (Fortuna) on one of her little sisters's MDD body:

My little Médée is a HDD-01 that my sister painted for me. I didn't specify anything aesthetically except "try to fix those droopy eyes" and she turned out beautifully - she's like a resin-DD hybrid face. When I took her to a local BJD doll meetup, most people thought she was a MSD resin doll

Oh my lord, Reimu on MDD body is so adorable, its killing me D;

And Médée is so sweet! Yeah, I don't care for the droppiness of the ddh01 either >__> She really looks adorable and I would have probably thought she was an msd if I didn't recognize the head!

I also have a customized DDH-01 on an MDD body. My DDH-01 has had her mouth modified in addition to her faceup which was done by Shiroi Ichigo (you can find his work on YJA) As the two shots below show - depending on the angles she's photographed from she can look very impatient or very happy. I really enjoy how I can achieve such different emotion from her just by the tilt of her head. ^_^

 

 

It's a very simple faceup but I found it very charming and her face doesn't look squashed like most of them tend to look.
