Oh wow I’m so excited, I LOVE the Hanami Coord outfit and always thought the proportions of nendoll (what it was on originally) didn’t look quite elegant enough for it.
(Note it says Sakura Miku herself not included, although her getting an outfit so far after her release is suspicious)

Its a nice outfit, but I think I like the autumn one better.  I think this one is somewhat plain in comparison. 

I'd love to get Luka, but I don't think I'll be able to get her.

Looks like it will be sold at the After Event (4th of May)too rather than a preorder like a lot of Miku outfits, although there’s no further details about that.

Price is 22000 JPY with tax.

So looks like Sakura Miku outfit is Dolpa 😞 So maybe it'll be sold online in an after event bloodbath? It's my only hope 8')

It’s actually Luka I’d like to put this Hanami Coord on more than Miku, but I’m not sure if the blouse is loose enough for her larger bust size.

 

When is Magical Mirai? I would absolutely ascend if they gave her her new symphony outfit. That outfit is divine on Luka!

The dates were confirmed recently - Fukuoka is  17-18 Aug, Tokyo is 30 Aug - 1 Sept, and Osaka is 12-14 Oct. Often anything major getting announced will be at first of the events or the Tokyo event (since it’s the one on/around Miku’s birthday, although it’s also usually the first one, not this time though) but there have been times where there are announcements at the later event too.

Same! It took some time. I kept getting an error screen at the final step, but after about a dozen attempts it went through. I’m glad I won’t have to try the VolksUSA lottery, if for no other reason than it’s a big savings to get it from the Japan site. 

Either the Hanami Coord was not popular or Volks expected it to be more popular than it was and overstocked it, but it was not difficult to get at all. Stock lasted longer than expected at Dolpa, it was surprisingly easy to get during the clickwar, and worst of all (for me) it was still in stock at Dollpoint long after the after event was over. Now I have to pay shipping for something I could have picked up in store 🥴

So the set comes with an earring, I'm assuming it has to pierce through the ear. Does anyone have any tips?

I got my Hanami Coord last week and so far have only tried it on Rin. (I wanted to try it on Luka as well, but Rin looks so cute I don’t want to take it off her for a little longer). It looks only a little gappy at the waist on a DDS - although I haven’t tried it on a DD to compare yet. I was really curious about how the jacket looked when actually worn - on a DDS at least it seems too long and the sleeves bunch up, so I’m curious to try it on other doll sizes. The material is really soft, not stiff like I expected, which is good because it hopefully won’t look too weird when worn as a jacket on a doll with longer arms.

I like the outfit overall, but there’s some frustrating aspects of it. The first thing I noticed was the hat - it feels very flimsy, almost like it’s made of cardboard. I knew that it had a notch for Miku’s twin tail, but I was expecting it to look like it was constructed with the hole - instead it just looks like someone hacked a hole in it with some scissors, if that makes sense. It makes it look kinda cheap, which isn’t great for a pricy outfit. That aside it does look fine in photos. Since it’s made to sit over a twintail, I gave Rin a side ponytail tied with a pink ribbon and the hat sits well enough on top of the ribbon without needing me to bother with the included magnets. (But I’m grateful for those all the same).

The other and main major letdown for me was the socks. They have almost no stretch to them (surprising for DD socks), and the ‘petals’ are connected in a very flimsy way. They are extremely hard to get on without being able to stretch them, and even though I was as careful as I could be, part of the petals tore when I put them on. (This is another reason why I’m not in any hurry to take it off Rin…) 

I’m also not personally a fan of the satiny material the blouse is made of but that’s just preference and not a dealbreaker.

Anyway, my favourite parts are the shoes and the bag, and the cherry clips. The photos show the cherry clip on the bag on one of the rings the handle is attached to, but when I did that it felt like it might fall off easily, so I put it like this instead, which I personally kinda prefer. (It might widen the clip cos the bag flap is thicker than the other places the clips are meant to go, but I don’t plan to take that one off the bag anyway, and it’s pretty snug)

I use those waist pads they sell along with the kimono sets for that, and they work really well.

If anyone wants the outfit there are quite a few floating around on YJA (and probably elsewhere too). I did notice in one of the listings that the top of the socks had torn... be careful with these everybody!

It looks good on Rin but I'm not really sure if its my girls' style.

The waist pad tip is so smart, thanks for that. probably works well for DDB bodies too.

Besides that, they’re gonna have a selection of past outfits + Miku glasses + carry cases (and acrylic charms for the cases) + the display carry bag for sale, although no actual dolls. There’s also the standard ‘there will be new announcements…maybe!’ that they have every time they announce anything, also! Maybe we’ll see a prototype of the autumn outfit?

Once again, Fukuoka is 17-18 Aug, Tokyo is 30 Aug-1 Sept, and Osaka is 12-14 Oct - and announcements could be staggered. 
 

edit: Also I missed it the first time somehow but while there aren’t any dolls sold at MagiMirai, there will be a lottery resale of Rin, Len, Kaito and Luka at the 3 relevant stores (Fukuoka showroom, Osaka doll point and Akihabara doll point) during the Magical Mirai dates and shipping in November. (Magical Mirai attendance not required) However this is likely only applicable for members living in Japan as it states VS/VIP only, so visiting GL members probably can’t. For those able to, it’s a nice chance to get a Luka at RRP.

I'd be okay with that...as long as I could go through Volks USA and put her on layaway!

Yeah other than potential rereleases like Luka and Sakura Miku there isnt any - while Volks could theoretically get the license for other Vocaloid related characters like Gumi, Magical Mirai is, specifically, a Miku (/Rin/Len/Luka/Kaito/Meiko) focussed event, so even if they happened, it would be weird to announce them at Magical Mirai. I also can’t think of any Miku variants major enough to need an entirely new doll as opposed to an outfit set especially with NT being such a recent release. I was thinking more along the lines of outfits, especially because we know that autumn one is in the works from the contest last year.
If Luka does get an update I hope she gets more outfits other than the standard reissue of the Senbonzakura one. 

TBH I thought all hope was dead of ever getting more Project Diva related costumes, but…lately a bunch of Project Diva modules have been getting prize figures and nendoroids out of nowhere, so who knows anymore!

edit: there was also the poll last year for collab outfit requests, that could have resulted in a new Miku(or friends) outfit too.

For Miku outfits, I would love to see some more Project Sekai ones to be honest. Empty Sekai is by far my favorite, but I've consistently been seeing more and more merch for the other ones, especially Wonderland Sekai. I guess Racing Mikus are the only other main variant of Miku there is, and they're a bit more of an offshoot.

I don't know if this counts as an "outfit," but has the “DD Hatsune Miku Miku Glasses” gone on sale yet? 

Also, have the Hatsune Miku" Magical Mirai 2024" doll happi coats gone on sale yet?  Is there any notice as to when they both go on sale?

These items are only available at Magical Mirai, so unless you or your proxy are physically there, they’re practically impossible to get. They might sell any excess online afterwards, but they usually sell out right away since they don’t bring all that much to begin with.

The only exception is the lottery at Dollpoint, but that’s new this year. Usually those are physical sales only at MagiMirai.

The 2024 happi at least will probably be online! There’s a note about online/store sales being TBA, and usually they say outright if something won’t be available online. They have sold the happi online before, anyway, after the event. If they’re going to do it after all of MagiMirai it wouldn’t be until late October at the earliest I assume.

All the other items including the glasses are probably new old stock of older releases though, so those are the MagiMirai only ones.
