Valentine's Day Swap! - Matches sent

Oh, if you were the one who sent, then it hasn't arrived! I thought it was someone else?! I just got a random package I wasn't expecting and I thought this was it but it's not from Canada!

 

Aww man. Well hopefully it gets there this week. c:

If you guys want to, post some pictures of your packages. I'd like to see.

I posted my Valentine's package a while ago, hopefully they will be gettin it soon ^_^

I need to finish mine and get it sent. I have a couple things, but I have one final thing to do.

I'm also trying to get one last touch done while I wait for USPS to deliver the plastic custom form holder things to me...I hope my partner won't mind the longer wait. Since I'm sending a lot of stuff

 

-shakes fist at USPS and their plastic form holders- these darn things have been my mortal enemy lately.

Today's Valentine's Day, so it was finally time to open our package from Ayanami!

Rin and I have been dying to open it for days.

We opened it up and found a ton of goodies including, beautiful hair clips for Rin, the most delicious chocolate I've ever tasted, some yummy candies, and a card with the nicest message inside. It made me so happy to read. Made Rin tear up a little.

Thank you Ayanami for the wonderful gifts, and possibly the best Valentine's Day I've ever had. And thank you Amber for setting this all up and making it possible.

The chocolates are some of the best I have tasted, even though they are half-melted in the heat she is really enjoying smushing them between her fingers and licking the gooey mess up!

 

(Australian chocolate are my favourite chocolate in all the world, literally the world.)

That's my fault too, it's freezing here and I absolutely didn't think that it's summer there!

I love the pictures! I'm glad that some of you have gotten your gifts.

 

It is a secret for now, but hopefully my partner will see this when their package arrives... I am sorry your gift will be late. I got sick and I couldn't finish everything I had wanted to do. When I felt better it was a holiday here where mail could not be sent out.

I mailed mine out yesterday! Hoping it arrives quicker than the 2 weeks estimated by USPS...

Mine is still in the works. I decided it'd be a good time for me to put the sewing machine I bought to good use, so it's taking a bit longer as it's the first thing I've ever done. But I plan to put the finishing touches on tonight, and then get it shipped this weekend. I already bought the other things to send. I didn't pick chocolates because I was worried about them melting, but I found something else that is cute and should be tasty.

Finally got mine sent out today...I hope what's in the package makes up for the small delay I'm so excited for my partner to get it lol!

Sending my partner's gift tomorrow (Monday).

Life kinda snuck up on me, but I've been trying hard to find time in the evenings to finish my gift off! I'm hoping to get it in the post by Wednesday! I found the cutest little box to put it all in, so it's just the finishing touches left to do on it.

It arrived! Ahhh, thank you sooo much for everything Sniixsnak! It totally made my day after having to pay 23 euro custom fees on a 33 euro package (I think some of the lollipops might have tiny broken pieces floating around the package cause the card had tiny little sticky pieces, but I didn't notice any really broken one )

 

 

She loves everything! Thank you so much

 

((I feel kind of bad I didn't send a lot of sweets now cause I kinda focused more on the gifts? I hope it won't be disappointing for the one receiving from me ))

Me: Yumi, Yumi!

 

 

Yumi: What Daddy?

Me: Come here.

 

 

Me: You got a package.

 

 

Yumi: Oh boy, I wonder what I got.

 

 

Yumi: Wow!

Me: What did you get?

Yumi: [Dumps contents on the ground and tosses the packaging aside.]

 

 

Yumi: Look at all this stuff!

 

 

Yumi: There are hearts with my name on them!!

 

 

Yumi: So soft! [snuggles.]

 

 

Yumi: And this red candy is nice and sweet.

 

The paper heart was a letter, stuffed with heart confetti. Lets say it took us a while to clean that. But she enjoyed it. She says thanks, to whomever you are. The letter was signed by "Me" so she doesn't know who to thank. But she loves it. The donut she had was part of the Valentines gift I gave all my girls (She spied it first and claimed it before anyone else could.) and that's the 1st time she let it go. Now she's been holding that heart with her name on it.

 

I'll get mine sent out this week. I finally got the item made, found a small box, and got the info I needed from my post office. Now to tape it shut and fill out the forums and away it'll go.

I can certainly say I wasn't disappointed! I just got your gift yesterday night! no worries about the candy. I didn't expect to get any at all because of my allergy list. Good to know that soybean oil is prevalent outside the US too. We've latched onto it here as a health trend, so I wasn't sure if it was common anywhere else lol.

 

I totally loved the gifts though and I'm definitely taking pictures this Saturday so I can capture colors accurately and do them justice with a good photo Mikuo is already wearing the hat and he loves it

 

Also Ai looks really adorable with that bow! It suits her well

@Sinclair + Yumi : That was us! I had written an owner-to-owner note to explain a few things but after returning home from mailing the package I saw it was still on the counter and thought, "huh, that's going to be a bit confusing."

 

I didn't have any candies like what you listed in your preferred so the redskins are the closest thing I could find that could possibly be acceptable. It's a half-common practice to put them in the fridge and eat them like a hard candy .

It's been super cold this week, so this is just what Mikuo needed! We're definitely a hat family around here...so now he fits right in! The little hearts are also so cute and very soft! I think the little purple one will go to Maron. Mikuo didn't mind sharing lol!

I think Mikuo looks great with the beanie! (I saw him on your instagram too!). It's been very cold here (it's snowing), and I thought it was appropriate, but I forgot other parts of the world are warmer this time of the year XD Still, glad it's in season there too!
