Super New to everything

Hey I'm new! Like new to everything! The forum and to Dollfie! Woo.

I don't even have a doll yet, but I really want one, and I hope I can get one soon. I've been eyeing the standard Karin model and thinking about customizing a few things on her to make her a little more unique. I want to make her look a little more like the girl in my avatar.

Does anyone make custom eyes for the dolls? I thought about it, since they're just clear resin, correct? But ah, mixing resin is annoying lol.

I'm a crafter by nature. I actually am a freelance plush artist who is kind of just getting a start. I'll be going to conventions starting this year. Mostly MLP conventions. :b

I'd love to get my hands on a doll to get a size of scale so I can make accessories and stuff for them. (Like little dolls for them, or plush of their own! ah, so cute.)

Hi, Welcome to the forum! I’m super new too. You pick up on everything pretty quickly though.

Everyone here is super friendly and helpful.

I think a Natsuki doll would be super awesome. I look forward to seeing what you’ll make of her.

When you post enough you’ll be able to access the marketplace and maybe you’ll find some stuff for her in there.

Ah thank you thank you! I've been obsessively reading everything I can for the past couple weeks!! I am hoping I can have funds together soon to get a doll. I think I am learning pretty well. I have had other types of dolls in the past, but nothing really fancy or expensive. Just the Monster High and Ever After High types, but Mattel got really lazy with making them and they kind of make me sad now. Especially EAH, they used to be nice for cheap play dolls, but now they don't even have moving limbs or fabric clothing half the time anymore.

I'm really obsessed with Natsuki too. Haha. So I really want to make something of her. I kept debating between making a plush of her or customizing a doll, but I'm backed up on plush making for con season starting up so I don't have time to do personal projects. I still might make a plush though, later on anyway. I want to find a way to put a microSD or miniSD card with the character file in it somewhere in the doll too.

Thank you for the welcome though! I've even been lurking here for a while but finally decided to post.

That’s so cool that you make stuff like that and sell at cons! I would love to learn how to do stuff like that. I think a plush Natsuki and a doll would be equally adorable, I can’t wait to see how they turn out when you have personal time again.

I’ve always caught myself eyeing dolls in the toy ailes of Walmart and brushing the hair of my younger sisters dolls. Didn’t know I was a doll person until I laid eyes on the Kagamine Rin Dollfie and fell in love. Just threw all my money at her.

Ah yay! I'm not the only one enjoying everyone's pretty pictures and feeling left out. Haha. Hopefully I can get one soon! ;-;

Plush making is fun, but very time consuming! I hope I can use my skills to help with this hobby too. (as if I need more hobbies at this point, I keep trying to pick up so much stuff!!)

welcome!! this can be a rather involving, yet profoundly rewarding hobby!!

learning how to sew your own fashions is about the most valuable skill one can learn in support of a hobby like this! from there, if one can become sufficiently skilled, they can dress their girls in practically any fashion they wish! if one can't buy it, they can make it!! if they can buy it, but it happens to be a bit less than just what one was looking for, one can modify it!! the freedom of flexibility afforded by these skills cannot be understated...

Hi there. It says that you live in SoCal. Can you be more specific?? We’re having a doll meet in Aliso Viejo on Sunday, April 29th. Even if you don’t have a doll yet, we like to meet you and show our support for when you’re finally able to get you’re own someday. Hope you can make it

There are a lot of custom eye makers out there.

Freya_21 does custom eyes and faces, and there are a number of people here who make clothing.

Anyways welcome.

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction
