First Custom Dollfie Head WIP

Recommended Posts

Mitsuna

Hello there! I'm a 16 year old figure and doll collector from the UK! ^o^ I've always admired Dollfie Dream face-up artists, my biggest inspirations being Coco Girly and Tachibana Mikan. This is a WIP of my first Dollfie Dream custom head, it's a DDH-06. I am really enjoying the process and I hope to improve and do many more! It changes a little bit each time since this is still a work in progress ^^ Any tips are much appreciated and thank you for reading!

Hello dear!

You did a really neat job, the eyelashes are very symmetrical.

Can't wait to see the finished work, I'm sure it'll be great

Looks very neat so far! If you want to ensure really good symmetry, check your work in a mirror or flip a photo on your camera as you are working. Sometimes working with the head upside down helps, especially for eyebrows. Also, filling in color on the top of the eye - between the eyelash and eye hole- will give the eye depth and avoid a surprised/shocked expression from lower angles.

First time and it turned out wonderfully! Even lines and an even application, keep it up!

As for tips, I'm personally a fan of making the edges of the lashes fade to an ochre color but that is just preference. Many talented artists do solid color lashes.
