After I saw Sheryl Nome in person, I knew I loved her even more than I did from her pictures. And Freyja is so appealing and cute!! The more I look at her, the more I like her.

 

Good news is, I think they're both still pretty moderately priced!

Oooooooh, get Frejya for sure! We don't see enough of her around here, she's super cute and seems like she would make a perfect sister for your girls! And Sheryl is just so beautiful, she's really special.

Ranka showed me Mandarake. If my first order goes well, I fear I shall never have money again.

Their PayPal setup draws from your primary payment source in PayPal. You don’t get to pick an alternate. If you primary is your bank be prepared for the money to come from there when you click pay. I believe the credit card option requires Verified by Visa, or the MasterCard equivalent.

 

Other than that I’ve had good luck with Mandarake. They ship fast, and verifying stock has usually taken a day, and not 3 days.

 

Their prices are a bit higher than Hobby Jungle, but they provide way more detail on the condition of the doll up front. Usually there are detailed photos of damage. I like them for rescue dolls for that reason. Hobby Jungle also under declares without you asking them to, which I find very annoying. If you live outside the US maybe that’s a plus, but not for me.

Mandarake is great. I know Capital One cards will work with them as it's what I use; due to the "3D Secure" requirement I believe a lot of cards won't at least here in the US where Verified by Visa and Mastercard SecureCode aren't very common.

 

How long it takes to get the response has been really variable for me, perhaps somewhat consistent by store. I've had 3 days or more on some doll clothes recently.

 

I haven't noticed any real difference between the prices on Jungle; also Jungle's prices are all actually 5% higher than the listings since they add a 5% fee to every order. That used to be listed as to cover Paypal fees when that's all they accepted but now that they take cards they still charge it no matter what. I dislike this because even though the info is on the site I still tend to forget it when looking at prices.

 

What I don't like with the dolls on Jungle besides not having actual pictures is they don't distinguish between an unused and used doll. The best rating for any doll is "A" so there's no way to know if the doll is unusued unlike Mandarake. I guess they do this because the dolls aren't actually sealed(?) so it's technically impossible to know?

 

Also, Mandarake Sahra is a warehouse and not a physical store and when you order from them if the item is on the site it is available, and you will get a shipping amount immediately. I haven't ordered from them enough to tell, but I've also read the shipping from that location tends to be higher as a result since it's an estimate rather than based on the actual package.

 

What I do love about Jungle is I've been able to buy a number of Volks shoes and boots I wanted that aren't currently available on Mandarake or when they show up they sell out before I even see them. Apparently I have a shoe fetish so I'm really stocked up on doll shoes now.
