Mirai Suenaga 10th anniversary edition

She definitely is way cuter than the original Mirai, I really want her but lack of funds. Anyways she's very pretty, I wish Danny would use that faceup for the standard Mirai.

Yes I agree!! Yeah I'm hoping she'll be available for awhile, I need to take a break from buying dolls. Well I understand having both available, because some people do prefer the original.

I way prefer this faceup over her deafault one, too. So pretty

Definitely!! I wasn't actually very interested in the original Mirai, but the new faceup changed my mind.

I don't think she's limited and is a new standard model; notice the page says this:

Large demand expected but will always be restocked - expect up to 8 weeks shipping time.

I had assumed, perhaps wrongly, that this is just the new standard Mirai and that the other version would be replaced by this anniversary edition. I first saw pictures of the anniversary one along with the 1/2 scale Mirai Mannequin and they have basically the same (new) faceup.

I agree with others here that this version is much prettier/nicer/cuter than the original version.

According to Danny both Mirais will be sold at the same time... At least for now.

I will probably be one of the only people who prefers the original over the anniversary. I do like the lip color and the extra lashes on the anniversary edition, but she almost looks too alert to me. Like she has had one too many cups of coffee and is jittery. I also do not like that the "anime cheek slashes" have been removed for those white dots. The white dots were one of the things I specifically did not like on the Miho Nishizumi doll, seeing them on Mirai is just off to me. The slashes are also one of the things that always made Mirai stand out compared to the other SmDolls and one of the reasons why I specifically fell in love with Mirai. The anniversary edition looks like Julia (and that new red-head Danny recently teased).

Just wanted to add my opinion to the wave of overwhelming support.

You are not the only one. I also prefer the original Mirai over the 10th anniversary edition for pretty much all the reasons you summed up. The little blush on original Mirai's cheeks is what endeared her to me.

The only thing I do like about the anniversary edition is her eyes. If Danny sells those separately, I'd buy them for my Mirai.

Living at my place: Rise (DD Rise Kujikawa), Chie (Smart Doll Mirai) and Aisha (Smart Doll Kurenai)

I just like the eye makeup better. I didn't look at the most closeup pics before and didn't realize she has those white dots now; they are fairly subtle and I didn't notice in the more distant pics (I've also just had eye surgery so not seeing well). I've ranted elsewhere on this forum about those on recent Volks dolls. I pretty much despise them everywhere I see them, and I doubly hate when there are two on each cheek as there are here. So yeah that's a total turn-off for me.

I ordered her alone with a set of extra set of hands.

I really like the updated faceup myself, though as others have said, I could do without the dots haha.
