kinkachou Posted April 18, 2018 Last night, after months of work, I finally finished the (technically) third version of Mami's bodysuit. Some of you may have seen the first make of the suit on my IG, and I only posted the second to the DD discord server. Although the second suit was an improvement on the first, I wasn't totally satisfied with it and decided to give it yet another go. I'm happy to say that this one is a success! Mami is supposed to be a big girl. Not "curvy" or "big boned". She's supposed to be tubby and soft (to the point where her girlfriend needs all four of her arms to give her a hug Unfortunately, the DD body as is doesn't really allow for this. I couldn't sculpt on top of it, because that would make it really heavy and it was possible the epoxy wouldn't really stay put with the slight bending of the vinyl that would take place during movement. So, I decided to make this suit Without further ado, here she is! I think she really owns this look Sorry for the messy room in the back of the first few pics-- it was 1AM and I was just so happy to be done that I didn't care about how anything other than Mami looked And here she is, relaxing and getting comfy! Plenty to snack on while she surfs the web and does a little... wait-- Where did you get that card you're holding?? What do you think you're doing? "I'm treating myself. I don't see any seams on her legs, which is really neat; did you modify an existing bodysuit, or did you go completely from scratch? Also, does it affect her poseability? I used two VOLKS NS bodysuits, some cotton batting, leftover stretch fabric I had from a CoolCat bodysuit I had cut up a bit, and the smallest styrofoam pellets I could find (I probably could have found smaller if I looked a little harder). One bodysuit acted the base, to which I attached little pockets stuffed with foam beads and then wrapped with the batting to give everything a much smoother appearance. The second suit was then layered over all of that. With all of the fabric and filler involved, it does interfere a bit with mobility, but tbh Mami's body has always had some issues posing, especially with her legs. I'm thinking of possibly switching her to the current DDdy body to see whether or not that makes a difference. This is amazing and I love how she came out Thank you I'm hoping to make some clothes just for her soon and show her off a bit more! Black lives matter. Wednesday Posted June 13, 2018 WOW!!! It looks so AMAZING real and human!!!! And I van imagine how soft sie would be to cuddle! Such a wonderful job... Since I am getting older (and my disease getting worse), I noticed that I totally lost my ability (which I DEFINITELY HAD!)to work on a project until it's finished to my desire, no matter how hard. I can't believe there are pellets in there, or that it's more than one bodysuit - wow! (Your girls are steadily becoming my forum faves. You have no idea how happy it makes me that Mami's mod has been so well-received-- I really wasn't sure what kind of reaction I was going to get from others on the forum/in the community after finishing this mod. In the end though, my desire for Mami to be the way she's supposed to be won out against my hesitation, and I'm super glad it did I would say she is, too! Thank you, Raine, for encouraging me throughout this entire process; you really kept me from losing it a few times while I was trying to make everything work. Chise, I'm really hoping you'll be able to see her in person soon! For those looking to see more of Hacchi (her girlfriend)-- I've just finished moving apartments and will be taking her back out of storage soon to begin working on her again. I've gotten her some special jointed hands to give her a more spidery look (and also save me some money on optional DD hands ) Thank you for all the love for this couple (you will see pictures, sinclair and Torino, I promise!) Wednesday, jaderose, Ie-Aster, galatia9-- it's very flattering and also very encouraging to hear that you think her body looks realistic! Sewing the little stitches to help create contours in the suit was frustrating and I was really nitpicky while I was doing it, but it's really rewarding to see that it came out looking like I had hoped when everything was said and done.
