This time its a bit of a quickie, and didnt manage the usual 20 or something photos.

 

a few reasons, mainly the Azone outfit ended up being a bit of a disappointment, not being lined, and the fabric also being just a fraction see through... continuing the norm for their recent outfits, nice, but not quite there anymore.

 

Also deko herself was acting up, this being only her third main outing, and now the body is all floppy...

also the body managed to stain itself apparently, with the tops of the shins rubbing against the lower inner bits of the thigh pieces.. so a bit of a tuneup needed now as well.

I like what you did here! I'm sorry to hear about your troubles though All the clothes I've gotten from Azone so far have been of satisfactory quality, both for 50s and PNc and PCs...

Damn thats a really cute look for her!

But ugh I feel you on the Azone stuff - I bought the 2016 christmas outfit and was horrified to find that the top wasnt lined at ALL (although...the skirt was?? Its two pieces). It really shocked me because the outfits can be pretty expensive, and yet tend to feel cheaper overall than Volks stuff. However, both Rin and Mel have now worn it for almost all of December last year and the year before with a body suit on with no issue at least. Hopefully this one is similar.

Well not all of the recent Azone stuff are disasters, for instance the faux knitted sweater sets seemed decent that I have in the photo pipeline, also the shoes and accessories I've gotten are ok, but I really wanted to use this dress for display for either deko or Ai, and it was several loose strings, and all raw edges inside. and not really pretty raw edges either.

 

But as far as cost goes, personally buying from amiami outside of japan they are cheaper than most items, about 50-75% for what to pay for similar volks items.

 

But why im so dissapointed is that about ten years ago you could argue that azone made better products than volks did...

The designs are different, but the Azone one is lined, the volks stuff is not, and the edge strips are much wider on the volks ones, versus the azone one that looks more done to scale.

 

Also as an example Azone's bikini's used to be actual tie up yourself strings (With removable pad inserts!), and now their done with ready tied knots that have clasps so you cant adjust fitment for different busts, hence I havent figured out what body to use with one set I got awhile back.

 

Im just so sad where the attention to details has gone... it does not really matter where the items are made these days if the manufacturing design isn't nice to begin with.

This was very informative, thank you I'm really sad to hear about the quality problems I don't really mind when clothes aren't lined personally, because it usually makes clothes a little bulkier than not, so I don't exactly consider it a downgrade. But I get the point that sometimes you want some stuff to display the dolls in and that's "impossible" if they're not lined, unless you don't mind them getting stained aha.
