cfx Posted February 9, 2019 I'll admit that the thought did cross my mind that he was referring to our mail but given that we sent it in May last year, I doubt that Danny would only comment about it *now*. I was thinking this too, because to me his comments tend to come across as a reaction (or overreaction) to something that has just happened.
HazelMaze Posted February 10, 2019 I'll admit to being a bit of a gossip hound and went through the majority of this thread. I'm quite certain that Danny is lashing out about something else, and not the email everyone sent. I'd be super surprised if he brought up something from so long ago to not-so-vague-book about. No doub that either another email went to him, or some words on either instagram or facebook/whatever were bothering him again. I feel like he's been trying to meet a rather high social demand from his fans/customers,and he's cracking even more.
freakie-oppa Posted February 10, 2019 Yikes, the email was back in May? Time sure does fly, my brain deceived me into thinking it was only about a month or two ago, silly me. To be fair, I doubt he's singling out a particular group or forum of people whenever he rants. He still on Gucci terms with the Smart Doll Lovers group, and he's been angry at them countless times. Thing is, he prides himself over having a HUGE customer purchase ratio, I assume he should be aware that there WILL be people who aren't mature enough to understand how man made products work. (What was off about Trinity's face up, though? I thought the eyes looked good, was it really that off?) AND, the bigger the fanbase, the louder the voices will be. At this point, I just think he's stressed out with his health, the work load since there were two major holidays stacked right against each other, and it irritates him to see particular comments (and Danny really should ignore it if he keeps writing like how he does. The man that runs Ringdoll is so neck deep in his own work that he doesn't even have time to address minor comments more than once. And even with his work schedule, when he addresses these comments, he does it with grace and respect.) I get that Danny Choo wants to be closer to customers, but I dunno, he should probably take a tip in the 'How to Talk to People' department if he wants to continue being the main communicator for his company on social media.
cinnabunroll Posted May 3, 2020 (edited) I am... very late to this little soirée.. I doubt my two cents matter, but I think you all did a good thing emailing Danny about issues you’ve had and want him to correct. It was a good idea to pit together a mass email about it, too! I never would’ve thought of that myself, if I’m being honest. But also, many of the things I read on this 9-page-thingie has further put me off of ever owning a SmD again. I sold the only one I had shortly after finding out about the recent Wig Fiasco that he used as an excuse to put off the release of the newer Chitose. And honestly, I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to own another one in good conscience, at least not until Danny can be more mature and less of a brat towards customers voicing their frustrations and opinions. Edited May 3, 2020 by cinnabunroll I used improper grammar.. a double plural (“two cents matters”). Sorry about that!
