Face-up Artist Database?

So as the title states I'm wondering if maybe it would be worth wild to make a face-up artist database?

 

Unlike BJD face-up artists where there is just a lot; the DD market is pretty limited. What artists are around? What platform do they use? It all would be mighty helpful to anyone either new to the hobby and looking to customize a doll or someone who is just unfamiliar with it (me).

 

I know we have a few on here but most people work on Facebook, or Instagram at this point.

 

So yeah, just a thought of something handy that could help people find face-up artists and their platforms of choice. I think I had a really useful post like this years ago but since then have lost track of it and it is mostly outdated as well.

Den of Angels has some very well organized super-threads around customization and third party doll goods. I think that is something that would be nice to have from a DD perspective. As has been mentioned in other threads SD products and services aren't always the best fit for DD.

 

They probably have people dedicated to the upkeep of those topics though.

I also would love a database with tons of makeup examples, and a sorting method like european artists.

 

 

EDIT. I gave some more thought and I think a flickr group where the admins can send invites to japanese photos and do several threads with continents with the data of the artists...but admins should be active filtering because there are some DD flickr groups like DD Spain that are filled with chinese photos...so maybe a little control there for only artists creations.
