Long time no Maria...

Well this time took quite a bit time to get done, due to various reasons.

 

The outfit had been waiting a few months for its turn, while wondering what doll to use, and also do some updates to my stage...

 

So eventually after a two year pause I decided to pick up my Ushiromiya Maria for this set, only to be reminded that her ankles were pretty much broken.

 

One week later managed to dismantle and do a last ditch repair done to the ankles, the following week went debating the wig, and eventually went with stock, and as a result Sakutaro got a place on stage... then two weeks went just pondering motivation...

 

But finally this set got done, and even my camera was playing ball. However Maria's wig was all over the place, but there's always got to be something...

 

For those curious she is still on her original MDD1 body, which has had the knee's kips'ed, the hips scotch-taped, and the ankles have a screw now fully through the joint to keep the halves together.

That's some impressive posing for a body that has had so many repairs! Well done.

AHHHHHH! Little Maria is such a cutie! I love her smiling face.

The only real repair was the ankle's, which is a pain in the butt, as all of these poses require good stiffness from them... the kips and scotch-tape are general mods to add friction, though I need to experiment with polyurethane tape instead of the kips at the knee's since the kips rings bend the clamping pieces a bit more than I'd like.

 

The Volks Fluffy (?) sailor outfit was a nice Mandarake find also... I still need to get more MDD stuff, but im divided by funds and motivation.

Dunno how the relation went in the end, was Beat her cousin or step-aunt, or step-something in the end, since I havent gotten around to the second half of the visual novels, since the anime never progressed beyond half point.

In terms of doll relations I did now take note the head looks a bit like Millhiore's... but she was stuck in display that I didnt want to dismantle at the moment just to compare.

I love the outfit that was a really great find, it suits her perfectly. Also great posing, I really loved all your pictures. Maria will always be the cutest MDD to me.

I love little Maria, she's probably my most wanted MDD. Your's is adorable, good job putting getting her photo ready, fixing her ankles and the like. The photos are lovely, she's such a sweet girl.
