Wayfinder Posted June 5, 2018 Volks Doll Point Akihabara have nice little photography stages. It was a few Saturdays ago and I thought "why not drop in and muck about a bit with antler'd Rin in her that nekomeido dress I've not used yet?" This I did. It was more fun than expected; the props give plenty of room for creativity and the time limit actually makes one go for new shots even if they might turn out sloppy. Monty Posted June 5, 2018 Those are some nice shots! I wish I'd thought of some of those angles when I was there. The time limit is kind of annoying, but Akihabara and Osaka are the only stores that have given me one. At Fu kuoka they dont even give you the slip of paper, but they'll probably try to move you along if you're there for an obscenely long time.. Rin looks so curious and mischievous! I think I have those same antlers also... *twitter*instagram*art*

I've found that they're quite chill at the Akiba location; as long as nobody else is waiting to use the sets they're quite happy to give you another slot if you're coming up to the end of the one you're in. It's the usual story - follow the Rules and everyone's happy. I had other things to do so I just used one slot for each set. I have a set of fox ears from the same maker. They're good quality. Originally I only tried the antlers on Rin to see how they looked, but they looked so good on her together with that white wig that I left them on even after I moved her out of her white qipao. Silverwing Posted June 6, 2018 That's a cute dress and an even cuter rin! Always nice to see her about! I really loved the pictures with her and the macarons and playing with the cat very cute.
Ie-Aster Posted June 7, 2018 Rin looks great! I very much like her antlers. The look reminds me a lot of tsuno-girl -- was that your inspiration, by any chance? I also really like the shots of Rin interacting with the kitten. These two are very nice photo spaces. I was able to do a shoot in each one back in May, and I agree--the time limit really does push one to try new and different things. It's a lot of fun. I know that From-Sen also has photo spaces, but you do have to pay to use them (you rent them by the hour iirc). For what it's worth, Sapporo Volks also gave me a time limit. To my surprise (it was a weekday during working hours) someone else took the slot right after me. At home: Mei (DDP Lucy custom), Aku (DDB Takane custom) En route: L. (DD Matoi)

Thank you. The macaron and cat shots were also some of my favourites. The macarons were very last-minute but I'm glad I decided to try them. Rin looks great! I very much like her antlers. To my surprise (it was a weekday during working hours) someone else took the slot right after me. I had no particular inspiration aside from general antlered-girl imagery. I was seeking fox ears, saw antlers also on offer, and decided to buy them. The fox ears went on Yuria - another of my girls - and the antlers on Rin. That's just how things fell into place. Japan's crowd dynamics have to be seen to be believed. That someone came in straight after you - even in a remote capital like Sapporo - is something that happens often when you have enough random candidates who might want a resource. The Japanese form of politeness and the social systems they deploy (even in "petty" situations like this) show them as a people who've undergone particular kinds of selective pressure. They're a very passionate people so without such things it'd all be a bit of a bloodbath.
