"Try It On"

About a two weeks ago I finished working on a (slightly oversized) hanten jacket for my girls to wear. I really love the casual look of the hanten over a t-shirt, and all of them are supposed to have taisho-era uniforms eventually, so I figured I'd practice sewing these sorts of clothes using the hanten to sort of build up my confidence and skill before moving on to more ambitious patterns.

 

The jacket wasn't for anyone specifically, but Mami (as usual) snatched it up I let her have her fun for a bit while she modeled it, and managed to take a few decent pictures of her while we were out in my back yard relaxing:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I wonder who'll end off running off with it next... I guess I'll just have to make more!

 

(BONUS: Mami in another outfit I made that is specifically for her. Being spoiled with her own special clothes unfortunately doesn't keep her from borrowing everyone else's. Her shorts and her shirt are the parts of the outfit I made.)
