Good Smile Company's Nendoroid Dolls

I actually asked GSC-US on Twitter but never got a response. My Yune does look pretty pale compared to my other Nendoroids. So I'm just gonna preorder a cream body and see what happens. I'll let you all know how it worked out 

i just got my peach archetype doll bodies in the mail and they look really orange. haven’t had a chance to see them next to my nendos at home but i am aleady anxious that the color won’t work and i should have ordered cream instead!

has anyone else had problems with the nendoroid doll peach skin tone?

it didn’t match any of my nendos! one of them was close enough that she can wear it with clothes without it being too drastic, but i wound up ordering cream bodies to go with the ones i had originally gotten the peach bodies for.

 Oh my goodness! Thanks for letting me know. Definitely staying away from peach bodies then.

So I was gonna grab an obitsu11 for my Solid Snake Nendo (I'd love to get him into other outfits, heh) and was wondering if anyone recommended the Nendoroid Doll, or if they found that other bodies were better?

And also, is there anywhere other than the Goodsmile website to buy them, or am I just stuck waiting for them to restock if I do want to get one of the Archetype bodies?

Boy archetype body is in stock at Hobby Link Japan, but I'm not sure which color it is.

Amiami and Hobby Search are good sources but they're both out of stock too.

Thank you! I think I'll try shooting them an e-mail to see what color they have in stock- after reading a bunch of reviews it seems like Cream is my only real choice.

There is also Archonia.com . They have most bodies available on preorder with a scheduled release in July.

I think they're super cute! I like the proportions ^^

@AnjoRaivando if it doesn’t specify a color then the body is peach. the other two available are cream (available in boy and girl archetype) and cinnamon (available in boy archetype only)

@Eiko82 when my cream bodies come in i will post color comparison photos with existing face plates. from what i can tell it is hard to get a perfect match because most nendoroids have unique coloring.

Yeah, that's what I liked about them too! They complement the Nendo heads really well, of course!

@AnjoRaivando i’d say that pre-ordering from a place that still has it available is your best bet for now! i expect that goodsmile will reopen pre-orders for the bodies on their site before too terribly long, but then you also have to wait the 5 or 6 months after you pre-order for them to ship. 

i do really highly recommend them! the bodies are super well designed and thought out, and they pose super well!  there are poses they can go in that i have never seen a body of that scale be able to do. they also are just really satisfying to hold. a lot like normal nendos, but with way less fear of them falling apart at any second. 

@c4tbus Oh, that does sound perfect! I love my Solid Snake, but unfortunately the parts feel so iffy that he doesn't get taken out a lot! Plus now I'm thinking about making a custom Otacon to go with him! ☺️

just wanted to pop in with a color comparison photo i took of the nendoroid dolls/heads that i have. plus obitsu 11 with a parabox head. peach body is on the left, cream on the right. 

the color match is bad enough for me that i went ahead and got a bunch of custom faces from the face maker. 

I have the cream body and agree that while it's better than the peach skin version (I bought some peach hand parts to check the colour), it's still not a good match for the Nendos I have - it's far too pink in colour.

I resorted to pre-ordering a few of the cream Nendoroid Doll heads (which are now on their way to me) so I'll just have to customise them myself. I did see GoodSmile's Face Maker website, which looks pretty awesome, but from what I can tell you need a Japanese address to use it 🙁

@Zaliayn i used dejapan as a proxy service. they have a really helpful guide on how to use it, and offer their address to use for creating an account on the face maker site. i’ll let you know if it works out!

@c4tbus it'll be interesting to hear your experience with them! I always tend to forget that proxies are a thing for some reason, but if all goes well I may very well order some nendo faces too - I look forward to hearing how it all turns out for you

I finally got my cream Nendoroid Doll body and I loooooooooooooove it. It poses so well. I was really impressed at some of the poses it can hold. I also bought the Kindergarten clothing set. It's pretty cute but the quality is so-so in some areas. The strap on one of the shoes broke after taking it off once. The inside of the hat also looked a bit unfinished. Still, I'm happy that I bought it.  I'm definitely tempted to buy another Nendoroid Doll in the future but I think I'll wait for a complete doll like Emily or Alice.

Here is my Yune (from the series Ikoku Meiro no Croisée) with her Nendoroid Doll body 

I will agree with what others have said that it can be tricky to find a perfect match. The cream body matched my Yune, Mirai Suenaga and Yukiko Amagi Nendoroids pretty well.  With my Tracer, Futaba Sakura and Makoto Niijima Nendoroids, you could tell there was a skin tone difference and I doubt the Peach body would match better.

They at least finally added a labeled comparison picture, but, assuming these colors do match existing nendoroids, the information that's truly needed is what the color of every nendoroid is.

I know the GSC has a comparison photo but I'd like to see owner pics to see how big the difference is.

Good Smile recently announced Harry Potter Nendoroid Dolls, and in keeping with the above topic, it's stated these are a unique skin color:

Thank you so much for posting this!! It looks like almond is closest to most regular Nendoroids IMO.

Also great to see cinnamon is a good match for Phichit. I might get him a Nendoroid Doll body too.

For my nendo oc characters, I was planning to get one body in every skin color. Looks like i'm almost definitely gonna have to order custom faceplates for the cream and cinnamon ones...
