This new cute DD is going to be available for "presale" according to the tweet. No date for now.

She's (one of?) the dolls for August Dolpa. ('presale' just means 'sold there first', so thats usual)

I was really surprised they teased her today. I didnt expect any Volks News leaks until friday like usual. It makes me wonder if there will be more teasers then - theres rarely just one DD after all (and last August dolpa it was only just Emilia because of the incident with Ruri) I can't think of a time they've ever done a leak this early in the almost two years I've followed Volks News (its tuesday night in japan, and usually its friday afternoon when they do the volks news teasers for the following monday), so I'm still kinda ?!! about it.

 

She has a pretty sculpt! I know absolutely nothing about this character or game though.

Ditto lol, I never played PSO2 or any of the other games but ahhhh She is so pretty though! I think she would be perfect for a custom project. < 3

I get that theres a lot of pieces in her outfit, but... Luka's kinda did too, plus she had a big mic with a stand and Takoluka. Or is this just a weird licensing thing? DD prices are always kinda weird to me (ie, Anastasia, with her massive elaborate dress, costs about 10k less than Kagamine Rin...?)

Wow! She's so different!!! It's good to see Volks do something completely different fro Idols for a change- I love idols too... I just get really excited for video game characters. Thank you so much for sharing these pics! These are epic!

 

I believe part of the price is the licensing fee for the IP? That's what make it kind of wonky per doll. You never know how many people need a cut from each character! Maybe that's why the final price is kind of 'all over the map'?

I like her sculpt but not crazy about the character/outfits so will probably pass. Hopefully second doll will be more interesting. I suspect an idol master character as they have 2 planned and usually release one for Aug event.

I JUST WANT 2B TO BE RELEASED ALREADY! Volks keeps on releasing dolls they didn't even announce meanwhile 2B, 9S, Kaede, and Nanao haven't be released yet. . . . . Sorry for being salty and ranting, Mayoi looks nice but I don't like the face so I'm safe. Good luck to anyone who wants her.

I think PSO2 is Japan only at the moment. She's a cute sculpt, but no real interest on my part. That price does seem a bit steep, and compare her to Sailor Moon who was just as complex and much less expensive.

 

This does have me curious about who the other girl will be. I kind of agree it's likely to be an iM@S character. The real question is will it be one of the teases from last year, or someone unannounced from the original series.

I KNOW it's unlikely, but the longer they delay 2B and 9S, the more I hope they're keeping them for the next pre order

 

This girl looks like a pretty face, but those eyes are just a HUGE no no I think she'll show her true beauty when we see customs of her~ But I agree that she doesn't really speak to me and I'm glad XD

I think it be a semi insult to some people if she had a North American release considering we don't even have the game localized here. (Yet we got the anime?)

I love her sculpt.

 

However, I can't just buy every Volks cutie that strikes my fancy. And this would be one I'd be getting just for that head really. I like JRPGs but have no interest in online or multiplayer games so PSO(2) isn't interesting to me and I have no attachment to the character. I don't particularly like that outfit or wig, and with the higher-than-normal price I don't think I would be able to justify this for what I want out of it.

 

I agree pricing is odd. Besides possible licensing I see a couple of things. One, that's probably the most complex wig Volks has ever released. Second, there typically seems to be a premium for outfits with larger plastic pieces like the boot tops here (clearly not always since Freya had plastic parts). It could also be they've decided to raise prices overall. DDIII bodies went up a little over DDII (I think?) maybe the f3 ones will do that again, if this one is f3.

I agree. Very expensive but I adore her sculpt and wig.

Well, if anyone wants to split, I want the wig and the two outfits. I think her face is nice, but I just don't see her coming home with me. The outfit I can see Yaya in, and the wig would be perfect for an OC I have. The 2nd outfit would be part of my maid group.

I'd be interested in splitting if I decide to go with her over 2B for a custom project of mine. I hope we get to see 2B soon so I can decide if one or neither would work >__<

 

No such details were released with the original pics, so I guess we'll see in the Volks News on Monday. I'm pretty sure she is a DD though as they likely would have said "DDS Matoi" if she were a DDS?

 

I'd guess she is SWS, but till the specs are released there's no way of knowing for sure.

They'd use the "Dollfie Dream Sister" logo if she was a DDS, right?

 

Beyond that, nothing stated yet, but she's clearly an S or SS bust, and from the pics I think SS with how she looks. I also think semi-white but given Volks pics that's really hard to know; with the pale wig though I think she'd look like she has more color if she was normal skin tone. Also looks like a one-piece torso because I don't think that bra top is long enough to cover the seam if she wasn't and in general Volks seems to be using the one-piece for dolls with outfits like this now.

Anyway shes DDIII, SW, M-bust.

Honestly I kinda like her nose.

With the clearer pictures, I still like her sculpt, a little less so the eye makeup as I'm generally not a fan of more pronounced lower lashes.

 

I hadn't paid attention to the nose before. Not sure about the profile but otherwise I like it.

The more I look at her the more obsessed I get with her outfit . I know nothing about PSO2 but it looks like her sculpt and faceup are spot-on for the character art (from what I looked up).

She gives me a Takane vibes and her option dress is so adorable I wish I knew who the character was to justify spending money on her and keeping her fullset. I might just end up trying to find the nude doll alone or something.

She reminds me somewhat of Alisa with similar eyes.

 

With those mitts with the extra outfit, I have a mental image of her baking something wonderful in the oven that she's about to present you with.

She's cute. If I could get her prepainted head then I'd definitely consider it. But not really feeling the fullset.

 

I like her alternate costume though. I'd definitely order that.

That nose certainly makes her a pretty unique sculpt for Volks. The nose approaches the more reaslistic style they used in Rise, KOS-MOS and Alna but with a head sculpt that's otherwise doesn't have more realistic features like those three.

 

I like her quite a bit but won't get her due to the overall cost and like Gabriel not caring for her outfit so she ends up being an especially expensive doll.
