Singer Yuna Posted September 21, 2018 DSC_1147 by torinomh mh, on Flickr Seems like most of everything is still in stock. dont mind me, just enabling I also got the eye mover stick to see if it would work well with the simple eye moving kit I bought from I-Doll back in July because I couldnt quite get it to work properly. It works really well! I assume it works just as well with the dream fitter its intended to be used with. The problem I had trying to move Mel's eyes with the kit I bought is that the slightest bit of too much pressure popped his eyes back into his head, but with this they move more easily. Prince Charming is enabling everyone with that flower xD Glad the eye mover work well with your custom kit ^^
Monty Posted September 21, 2018 Ahhh, why does the MSD White Knight set have to come with long pants instead of shorts/bloomers like the SDB set? I'd really like a "princely" outfit for my Azone Saber, but the pants would be way too short on her. Which is probably why it's not listed as fitting DDP. I also kind of wish the pants on both were swapped just because shorts suit my Tilo better, but what if you had long boots on Saber to cover the exposed leg? Only problem is the sleeves may be short as well, I don’t know how an Azone50cm arm compares to MDD/SDM. *twitter*instagram*art*

cfx Posted September 22, 2018 According to some here who have tested them, MDD pants do not fit on a DDP; it's not just the length, the waist and hip sizes are too different. So that may be an issue on an Azone 50 as well.

I don't know about Azone 50, I think they may have slightly different measurements, but I know that my Obitsu 50 cannot wear MDD pants for exactly this reason. Pants are tight to pull up and can't fasten.
BeyondTime Posted September 22, 2018 For those who may want to try for them when Volks USA has it's lottery, the red high-heeled shoes look fine on DDIII, but definitely look oversized on DDS. The smaller MSD pair seem sized well for DDP. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

The smaller MSD pair seem sized well for DDP. The ones for DD are in stock on the Japanese store again. Do the feet look like the shoes actually fit them? I've had not great experience with Volks SD (not SD16) shoes where there's so much gap around the front of the foot or you can see part of the toes so it's clear the shoes are too large. Even the ones I've had that fit decently enough I have to put something under the front of the foot so there's not a big gap on top. I've had much better luck with the SD16 ones. Even the ones I've had that fit decently enough I have to put something under the front of the foot so there's not a big gap on top. I've had much better luck with the SD16 ones. Ok I did a bit of experimenting here. I have Asuna in her fullset so her feet are in one of my doll parts boxes. I grabbed those, and I grabbed the flat SDGr feet that came with my Belldandy. The SDGr and DD feet are basically the same length, but there is a slight difference in the toes. The SDGr flat foot has the toes slightly curled. The high-heeled SDGr feet don't work in these shoes at all due to the arch of the foot, but the SDGr flat feet fit a bit better than the DD feet because of the curl to the toes. There is still a gap at the toes with the SDGr feet, but it's not as pronounced. Just a note here that SDGr is not listed in the fit matrix, but whether that has to do with a general fit to the foot or the lack of compatibility with the default high heeled feet I am not sure. The shoe does list SD13, but I don't have one to compare to. I need to mess around with them a bit more. I just tried them on my Snow Miku's feet because she happens to be barefoot. But I haven't really checked a DD posed with the shoes on, so doing that might change my opinion of their fit. I would say for certain these shoes are not an option for DDS. Once a year or something Volks should do a thing where they make stuff in their DD line just for DDS. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction
elianti Posted September 22, 2018 dont mind me, just enabling Bri and Tilo look wonderful in their new outfits. I especially love Bri’s necklace. I wish Volks sold jewelry separately, the pearl/ribbon ones are so cute. Your video using the fitter stick was really helpful! One question though: with the stick is it possible to completely rotate their eyes? I have a Dream fitter and I was hoping to use two pairs of non-Volks eyes stuck together in it, using the stick to swap between two eye designs without having to remove them from the head. Do you think that’ll be possible?

The shoe does list SD13, but I don't have one to compare to. That's probably why they don't list the compatibility because SDGr has the high-heel feet. AFAIK there are flat feet for SD16 as well but they don't list them generally for the same reason. Some of the SD shoes are ok aside from the gap on top of the feet, which you can alleviate by sticking a cotton ball or something under the foot; these sound like that's probably the case since from your description that's basically the difference between the DD and SDGr foot. The recent maroon SB-SD-211 are like this, and from appearance they may be the same basic shoe. Some, like SB-SD-176 even doing that the shoe is so large as is the opening you can tell the shoe is just too big no matter what you do. For a while I had a picture of this shoe here because of my sale thread but I later deleted the pictures. I need to mess around with them a bit more. I just tried them on my Snow Miku's feet because she happens to be barefoot. But I haven't really checked a DD posed with the shoes on, so doing that might change my opinion of their fit. I would say for certain these shoes are not an option for DDS. This is another issue, an aesthetic one of them making the doll look like she has huge feet. I'm going to link to one of your pictures here: I have those sneakers; I actually bought them because of your picture. I found them to be huge and make the doll's feet look huge. It's probably better with the jeans like Makoto is wearing but on bare legs or the skinny jeans like I have the feet end up looking huge on DD so I can imagine what it must be like on DDS. Even in your pic you can tell how large they look compared to the flats you have on Yukiho. Are those Sakura's shoes? Once a year or something Volks should do a thing where they make stuff in their DD line just for DDS. Yeah I agree. Volks seems to barely acknowledge that there is any size difference between DD and DDS. There are a very few outfits that are listed as DDS only, and I've noticed a few of the SD outfits only list compatibility with DD/DDdy and not DDS, but in general they just show anything that fits DD to fit DDS and vice-versa. An example of that i happened to see earlier today is the Green Gear Accent: https://volksusastore.com/webstores/dollfie/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=9076 Probably because that's really an SD Boy outfit, but it lists DD and not DDS. It's probably big on DD too.
BeyondTime Posted September 22, 2018 One question though: with the stick is it possible to completely rotate their eyes? I have a Dream fitter and I was hoping to use two pairs of non-Volks eyes stuck together in it, using the stick to swap between two eye designs without having to remove them from the head. Do you think that’ll be possible? I have the stick as well, and it does work fairly well with the dream fitter. I think the fitter really needs to be installed properly for it to work well. You can follow the pictures, but I suspect the Japanese text has some useful advice, and I am just not sure I really have it right. Hopefully Volks USA will do one of their guides on it at some point. Still I do find that I can move and rotate the eyes. As far as flipping them 100% around I would say no, It really seems to work for small movements and not large movements. If I try anything large the eyes shift in the head. I'd recommend getting the stick to use with the fitter, but you're probably going to do some fiddling with it before you really figure out how to make it work well. Even in your pic you can tell how large they look compared to the flats you have on Yukiho. Are those Sakura's shoes? Yes they are Sakura's. I would have put Saber Lily's heels on her, but Lily was wearing them. I have yet to try those sneakers on a DD. but in general they just show anything that fits DD to fit DDS and vice-versa. Yeah and DDS fit to DD isn't really the best either. Ironically Makoto's Check My Note is way too big on Makoto, but at some point I put it on Sakura, and while it fit better I see to recall it looking just a bit too tight. I should contract one of the tailors on the forum to resize that bodice for DDS S Bust. It's a cute outfit, just way too large. The DDS size fit is kind of frustrating because half of my dolls are DDS. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction
Monty Posted September 22, 2018 Bri and Tilo look wonderful in their new outfits. I especially love Bri’s necklace. I wish Volks sold jewelry separately, the pearl/ribbon ones are so cute. The annoying part is that Volks Jewellery Box is a thing that exists, and yet they utilize it so rarely I always forget that it is. :I Your video using the fitter stick was really helpful! One question though: with the stick is it possible to completely rotate their eyes? I have a Dream fitter and I was hoping to use two pairs of non-Volks eyes stuck together in it, using the stick to swap between two eye designs without having to remove them from the head. Do you think that’ll be possible? That I can't say but I suspect it wouldn't work with the Volks Dream Fitter. It definitely wouldn't move with my kit from Tsurara Koubou - its basically some appropriately sized half-balls that you attach to the back of the eyes (the kits are sold in different mm sizes), and some washers that you attach with putty/blutac for the eyes to roll around in. They're held in place with springs. Here's what it looks like when installed (taken from the display head at I-Doll: Untitled by torinomh mh, on Flickr I just bought it because it was there and I was curious but to tell the truth its kind of overpriced - 3000 yen per kit. If I got another one I would like to try the one from Erf-hobby (http://erf-hobby.com/eyemover/eyemover.htm) which actually can do what you describe as I have seen video evidence (but apparently only if the eye is 20mm or under?); I -think- the eye holder has a magnet or something and the eyes are moved with a magnetic wand? I am not 100% sure - to my knowledge the guy who makes them seems to only sell online and not at events so some point down the road I'll probably get my friend to proxy order one for me. EDIT: found the vid of it *twitter*instagram*art*
BeyondTime Posted September 22, 2018 This may already be a known issue, but the dream fitter / stick combo doesn't work well with eyes whose sphere of rotation overlaps the other eye. With Yayoi and her 24mm eyes you can move one eye pretty well, but the other eye is kind of stuck because the first eye presses on it and keeps it from rotating towards the center of her face. I'll have to see if it's any different with Asuna. Her eyes are 24mm, but I think her head is a bit bigger. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

For sure it's not just Yayoi. 24mm eyes in a DDH-07 standard head hit each other, and if you want to position the eyes such that they're closer together it's necessary to trim the bases slightly on the sides that touch to accomplish that. DDH-07 is a larger head though I think the eye spacing isn't as wide as others like DDH-09.
