I'm looking for Glasses for her.. but not easy to find

I'm looking forward to the Smart Doll glasses, which I assume will also fit on DD. They can be used with or without lenses. Some pictures here:

I think they look awesome but I'm guessing they will be expensive.

They will be 9900 yens for the frames and 3000 for the lenses xD

What a lovely custom girl! I really love how you've styled her. She has such a soft, dreamy look.

Oh wow! such a lovely face-up she has. oh I know, it's hard finding accessories for your girl, especially glasses. Let alone glasses that aren't too expensive. Well I'm sure if you can't find some for her, I bet some of us can send you links to some you might be able to use for your daughter.

I figured the Smart Doll glasses would be expensive but wasn't expecting the prices Bellatrix quoted.

I think that might have been just two people joking around on Twitter, and not the actual prices?

LOL could be. I tried to find something from Danny on them a few days ago and couldn't. I got the impression he was selling them in the physical store because a few twitter accounts posted pictures like they had bought them.

 

I'm interested in them if they don't cost that kind of price, though I'm also concerned with the way the nosepieces are made and them being metal that they will scuff faceup sealant or scratch the vinyl, especially on a DD where I'd be using them since they won't fit the same way I'm sure.

There have been gachapon series recently of minuature glasses that just happen to be great for DDs. Those are the ones I have on Luka right now.

They work better on DDs with more average or smaller than average heads - on Mel (Len) for example, his head is pretty wide so it warps the frames a bit. The ones with black flames also made a slight mark on his face - this mortified me because it was his new faceup, but on the plus side I managed to remove it with magic eraser and plus its in a place that is always covered by his regular glasses anyway.

(mel has like...4 pairs of glasses now, because every pair he has is perfect in some ways and not in others and I have yet to find the all around perfect pair was hoping it'd be these ones but alas...although thats what they look like, anyway. I'm just too wary to put them on him again in case it leaves another mark. The ones Luka has leave no marks (no black)

They are extremely cheap - like 200, 300 yen (maybe more on aftermarket) and you can probably also get them as a set of all the varities for 2500 yen or so. Note that, being gachapon the quality isnt fantastic and they are kinda flimsy, but I'm not gonna complain for that price, especially cos they look just fine in photos and theres a good variety of styles.

Oh, your Towa is stunning!! Ashley's faceups are beautifully done.

 

I have several pairs of the plastic glasses like Torino showed, and they are wonderful and lightweight. I've had the dark ones stain too, so you need to watch out.

The Smart Doll glasses really ARE that expensive!! o_O The frames are titanium alloy, and some owners have mentioned the glasses dented the dolls' faces.

I know that volks sells glasses for there resin BJDs, I wouldn't know if the could potentially for dollfies, but I assume they may be able too, and there's also Smart Doll glasses, there pretty expensive, about $88.00 USD. (in case you want to look for new glasses or something, or if someone else want to know, idk.)

 

Btw, Towa is lovely with that face up, and the wig is cute too.
