Questions about Ronshuka's Wigs

I find it weird no body talks about these wigs, are they really hard to obtain?

 

Do they even sell the wigs as stand alone items..

 

If they sell these wigs separately how much does it cost?

 

Anyone bought from his own online shop before (not JYA) can share your experience?

Info on the site says the online store will be open on 07/01 and that wigs among other things will be available. However I have no idea if overseas orders are accepted. Their main FC2 cart page is also not a https: website.

Looking at the web site's history, the online store:

Next time the online shop opens, it's best to assume it won't stay open longer than a few days if that long.

 

Oh, did I mention there's also a language barrier?

 

Based on the web site contents, I don't think anyone who works for Ronshuka has a command of the English language beyond using a few words to separate the site into categories. Even if Ronshuka were willing to ship overseas, you'd have to either communicate in Japanese or hope someone on the other side can understand what you're saying. That, or hope the online store is built in a way which doesn't require any communication at all after purchase.

 

...and I just asked using Ronshuka's web form if online orders from outside Japan are accepted. Now to wait for the reply.

I have a Ronshuka wig. It's very cute, but the fibers fall out a lot more than any other doll wig I've had. I'll probably get a wig in a similar color somewhere else for my MDD girl, especially since none of the styles are very unique.

As far as I know Ronronshuka is just one person. When I went to her booth at DollShow last May she did have some helpers but I was unsure if they worked for her or were DollShow staff. That is why she makes things in such limited quantities and typically only sells at events or very quick flash sales online - she is not a ‘company’ and even the extremely limited runs are a lot of work. She is massively popular though and almost anything she sells is guaranteed to sell out instantly if it’s at an event (I tried to get a dress for Aster and despite being the 18th person in line for her booth it was already sold out) or a clickwar sale, or go for multiple multiple thousands if its an auction (every now and then she puts up sets for auctions that typically include a custom head with eyes and wig plus an outfit, but not a body, and these rarely sell for less than $2000US, she could have the starting bid at 1 yen and her fans would still battle it out to extreme levels until only the wealthiest remains.)

 

Plus, she only started selling the wigs very recently - so that too is another reason they aren’t talked about much I assume.

 

I’m kind of sad to hear the quality is apparently not so good because they look really cute. I wonder if it’s just specific styles that shed.

I'm aware there is a "shop" of some sort in a few days, but do not know what to expect.

 

A Dress Set + Wig goes for 76,000 Yen on JYA tells me that I better be prepared when the shop opens.

I have no idea why. She's a pretty big name, it would only reflect well on the company to have her name attached to it. (I guess Kizuna is retired now, but Mirai original isn't).

 

@megumin Her webstore isnt like her auctions though - the auction items only go for massive amounts because the fans have massive bid-wars. I'm pretty sure the wigs wouldn't be up to 10,000 but someone who has actually bought one can probably give a better number. The risk here isnt so much the price as the potential speed at which they'll all sell out.

My sweet semilong style drops fibers from the unstyled back. It's possible that it's just the one I have that sheds or a bad batch, but it's pretty simple so I wouldn't bet on other wigs, either.

 

I did really want the Spring 2018 bunny ears. So cute!

He did briefly mention it in an early blog post, idk if he ever did again after. But who are his sculptors??

I bought the Twin curl mini in classical pink 「ツインカールミニ　クラシカルピンク」from Ronshuka at the Asakusa DollShow in May. ^^ it was 4000円, which I thought was a reasonable price for a wig with two ponytail attachments. I haven't experienced any abnormal fiber loss from the wig so far, maybe a strand or two if I comb it-- but that happens to me with most wigs.

 

IIRC she sold her eyes between 2000-3000円 & her fuzzy kitty headband was 5000円? I'm pretty sure the outfit sets were pricey though... I want to say 35,000円 but I really can't remember as I looked at the price and then immediately looked elsewhere

 

 

 

I like my Ronshuka wig, I feel that the fibers are of a nice quality and the twintails have maintained their curl after a few brushings. That being said, if you are looking for a shorter wig or a less styled one the 4000円 range is a bit high imo. That or go for a more 'unique' colour like the antique pink, antique green-- something harder to find a cheaper dupe for

 

Closest alternatives to the twincurl mini style are: Himekazura wigs from Mandarake which cost 3500円 for a similar style or Leekeworld ($24usd) but I'm not sure if this one has detachable twintails. This one seems to have detachable ones. I don't have any experience with the Himekazura wigs tho ( I should have bought one when I had the chance :'D but I forgot ), but with Leekeworld I was never happy with their lighter colour wigs, I got one of their light pink ones and was able to see the netting underneath;;;

I received a reply from Ronshuka's owner. I wrote my inquiry in Japanese. She replied in Japanese *and* English. There doesn't seem to be much of a language barrier.

The main reason I like these wigs is that the colour and style is very consistence, with all the photos from twitter I know for sure what I'm getting.. Finding the right "Tone" of Blonde Twintail for Eriri is a nightmare, the lack of options available is depressing.. Volk's Biscuit Gold is probably the closest but its sold out for awhile now.

 

Ronshuka happens to cover the long and short version (mine is a MDD-10 going to be young Eriri).. so 4000 Yen is a steal for me, hope I manage to get them without further delay..

www I'm aware of Lullaby Poem but didn't mention them because a majority of their wigs are out of stock at the moment. I prefer LP to Leeke though ^^ I found the quality more consistent. The only downsides are the limited number of wigs in stock and longer wait time for shipping ( combo of them being a small business and the fact that Canada Post sucks )

What items? cause I was there right when the shop opens, and alot of items are already listed as sold out. So its safe to say that they did not restock and leave it there as sold out.

 

I managed to order 4 wigs and few pair of eyes but I went on to double check the colour and style before I checkout... but turns out that >>>"THE ITEMS IN YOUR CART IS NOT SECURED" <<< and ended up having to remove it, the eyes were sold out while I was doing my shopping..

 

Something to keep in mind if you want the hot items in the future, good amount of the clothes and eyes went from available to sold out in a minute, so you should plan around those items, might have to split the order to make sure your cart isn't full of sold out items when you checkout

I was looking at some resin eyes and wigs. Oh, well.

I figured this would be another place I couldn't successfully order from due to being jinxed by Paypal, and missed the opening due to again apparently misunderstanding Japan time. But the one item I would've wanted, the Type.07 eyes, aren't listed as for sale anyway.
