Monty Posted July 5, 2018 I like Bri a lot, but I dont take anywhere near enough photos of her (her skin tone can be difficult to photograph without the right lighting...) For ages I have been wanting to take her somewhere to do that - especially in the summer - and I finally got the chance the weekend before last. Even though it's winter where she's from right now, I finally got to take the summery pics I've always wanted to. She came with me to Nokonoshima! Even though I have lived off and on in Fu kuoka a combined total of 5 years, I had never been to Nokonoshima. It's a big island not far from Hakata, and up the top of the mountain on it is Nokonoshima Island Park. You can see the ocean in the background here. DSC_0355 by torinomh mh, on Flickr Many people ask me what they should do if they visit Fu kuoka and I'm really bad at answering, but now I can safely say that I strongly recommend going to Nokonoshima Island Park, especially if you like flowers. There are different flowers blooming at all times year-round so there is something to see regardless of the season. In Summer, you can see the stunning marigold field. DSC_0360 by torinomh mh, on Flickr DSC_0369 by torinomh mh, on Flickr DSC_0382 by torinomh mh, on Flickr The sun was extremely bright that day. DSC_0373 by torinomh mh, on Flickr I will post a bit more of the other flowers at Nokonoshima later on. I also wanted to check out Futamigaura beach, which is apparently famous. While it does look cool (and the sunset is absolutely amazing), I dont recommend it as much because its a huge pain in the rear to get to. The closest bus stop is a 25 minute walk away (and that bus takes about 25 minutes to get there from the closest train station) and the last bus leaves before the sunset happens. We had to get a taxi from the train station each way, which was expensive. But I wanted to at least see it in person. And I also wanted a pic of Bri with some sand and surf. This is, apparently, one of the most famous locations in Fu kuoka with the most famous sunset so you'd expect it to be a little easier to get to. Or at least be more generous with the bus times. K-2 Posted July 6, 2018 The travel costs/effort for the sunset shots was well worth it.

Ie-Aster Posted July 7, 2018 Ah, Bri looks stunning, and right at home! I really love the colors in these photos. The bright, warm color scheme transmits the feeling of summer and of relaxing on the beach beautifully. I also love the posing, especially with the sunglasses in the first shot and in the ones in the flower field. The last shot of Bri by the torii in the sunset is probably my favorite. The lighting and color are so beautiful, and the slight breeze lifting her curls adds a lovely dynamic touch. It really looks like an illustration. sinclair Posted July 9, 2018 Miku loves those shorts too, she's always wearing them. And the more I see of Bri, the more I love her. You have a keeper there for sure. Glad she got out and come camera time.

Monty Posted July 15, 2018 Thank you for the comments! I thought I had a lot more photos to post but there were actually only three worth posting, of the hydrangeas. I really wanted to get a photo that looked like Bri was running off into them, and it took a few tries. DSC_0329 by torinomh mh, on Flickr DSC_0340 by torinomh mh, on Flickr Her wig got pushed up a little here...but I like how all those flowers look. DSC_0330 by torinomh mh, on Flickr Plus her eyes came out really stunning here. And now that's all. This has been a message from the Fu kuoka Tourism Department. Visit Nokonoshima! *twitter*instagram*art*
elianti Posted July 15, 2018 Such beautiful pictures! Bri does a great job of selling Nokonoshima Park! I just love the pictures of her showing off the marigolds and running into the hydrangeas! I’m glad you finally got to do a photoshoot of Bri at a beach! She’s totally in her element there.
Ie-Aster Posted July 16, 2018 I really like the dynamic feel of the running shot! And the lighting is beautiful in the last photo, it brings out the colors of Bri and flowers alike. I don't know if I'll be going to Fu kuoka on any Japan trip soon, but if I ever do go I want to visit Nokonoshima for sure! At home: Mei (DDP Lucy custom), Aku (DDB Takane custom) En route: L. jaderose Posted July 16, 2018 Bri is so sweet! The hydrangeas compliment her perfectly. How cruel of her to make me want to go back to Japan, though... she does her tourism ambassador job too well. The post above this signature was probably TLDR, and I am very sorry.
