Pancakes with Mei and Eevee

I took these a few weeks back.

 

Right now my dolls are packed away for a move, and I miss taking photos of them quite a lot--but I also have a large backlog of photos to edit and post so there's a silver lining I guess :p

 

Edit: Apologies for the grain level in some of these--didn't realize it till I saw them on the full screen.

You're right, Eevee really does seem to have a pleading expression Even Mei looks a bit like she's hoping she can get the perfect shot as quickly as possible.

Thank you! Even though it was a very quick shoot, I had fun with it.

I'm very glad I was able to find a wig in this style to match Mei's official character art. There's a Lullaby Poem one in a similar (possibly somewhat closer to the art) style, but that one seems to be eternally sold out. I found this one on eBay a few years back.

The second to the last one is really good! It's the true definition of a candid photo. I love it well done!

Thanks! I grew up with dogs so I may have unconciously modeled Eevee's pose off of a dog's. Actually, I'd love to have some of the dog Pokémon for Mei, but all the figures of them are too small :/

I wish I knew who made the pancakes so I could link you to the maker, but they were being sold in the artists' consignment area of Akihabara Doll Point and there was no labelling or signage on either the box or the consignment area to indicate the maker. Whoever they are, they're certainly skilled!

I'm very glad Eevee's pose has that effect! wish I could say it was due to my mad posing skills and not just a happy accident though :p

I just realized I foolishly forgot to post the credits for the various items used in the shoot.

 

Mei's glass animetic eyes are from Japanese lampwork artist Coeur*Lapin.

Her top is from dealer JETRUNNER ;D

Her skirt is from dealer Sharkdolls

The table is from a Dolpa dealer who is known for his wooden benches--I can't actually remember his dealer name offhand since I always think of him as Bench Guy >_<

and the camera is just a USB from a Dutch department store. I'd like to get one of the detailed USB cameras at some point though.

Since I'm finally going to be done moving on Sunday, I'll be able to take photos of her again.
