Baldy's Babes Birthday Thread! NEW PICS 3-30

Today's update is a big one! I've got SEVEN girls that have anniversaries/birthdays all within just a few days this month! So let's get to it!

 

First up is Kiyomi. She was my first 07 head girl.

Her head, eyes and wig were given to me as a birthday present back on 9-14-2013. I took these and put them on a DDdy body and Kiyomi was born.

Kiyomi is a bit of a flirt sometimes and gets along well with the other DDdy girls in the house. She's a free spirit but not a tree hugger. Someday she wants to be a veterinarian but studying is sometimes a bore to her.

Next up are two that showed up at the same time. And neither are DD's. Say hello to Chitose and Eiji!

I bought these two back on 9-16-2016. I'd always wanted a tan girl from Danny and I really liked Chitose so I grabbed her. She's VERY shy and is always concerned about something, hence the look on her face.

She's on the tan Smartdoll body and normally uses the XL sized bust. She doesn't really like having big boobs but I think she looks amazing with them.

Eiji on the other hand was a bit of a planned project. I never really wanted a boy doll UNLESS one could be made of my favorite male anime character of all time..... Sesshoumaru. So Eiji didn't stay as himself for too long.

He went to visit Eblktty, Jadepixel and Buffdolls for his face up, demon ears, eyes and outfit. This project took almost 9 months total to get finished but the results were well beyond my expectations.

2 years prior to Chito and Eiji showing up, I adopted Lyssa..... my Alna sculpt.

Lyssa is a very outdoorsy girl even tho she is also an idol. She loves singing and writing songs but has just as much fun being outdoors and checking out flowers and animals.

I bought her off Ebay as just the head and body. I already had her default outfit and wig but not her eyes so I had to try different things out. We went for almost 6 months of eye swaps until I finally decided on using the red Ranka Lee default eyes in her.

And now we have THREE girls that all somehow wound up arriving all on the same day, 9-18-2017.

 

First up was another Smartdoll girl, Moonlight. I ordered her online when I found out Danny was discontinuing her skin tone. He was doing another version of the skin color that I didn't like so I had to jump to get the version I liked. Luckily, she was one of the last 3 available on the website and after my order was confirmed, she was listed as sold out.

I first saw her in Danny's store in 2016 and fell in love with her style and look. I knew I wanted one but kept putting her off until the last minute. I'm glad I got her tho because she's gorgeous. I changed mine's name to Diana. I love that name and it also symbolizes power, strength and it's my favorite superhero's first name.

Diana is very smart and loves reading. She is also very at home in her body and has no problems showing it off. She uses the XXL Kai bust and flaunts it often. Manami has made advances on Diana but so far Diana shows no interest. LOL

As for the other two girls that showed up on the same day.... those were a local purchase. But not from a doll collector or someone from my meets. They were from my sister.

 

Years ago, just after I got Manami, my sister showed great interest in her. She would go with me on photo shoots and hold her and cradle her whenever she came by my house. So it made sense to try and get her a doll of her own. I saved up for a head, had it painted and then put it on the old DD1 body Rei came with. I boxed it all up and gave it to my sister for Christmas the next year. This is what she looked like.

My sister named her Tsubaki and they got along really well. Tsubaki was just like my sister, outgoing, liked being outside and had no fashion sense. LOL About a year later, a friend of ours that bought a DD to make clothing for and sell decided to move on to American Girl dolls and sold my sister her girl. She was also an 04 head girl but on the DD2 body. So for that Christmas, I got Tsubaki a DD2 body and took back the DD1 body. The new girl was given to Eblktty along with Tsubaki for a face redo. My sister wanted twins so their faces were done to match but be mirrors of each other. Here's a pic of them before the redo.

As you can see, they match now and both have a cute little star birthmark on their cheek under one eye. The blonde is named Aoki.

 

Now, I adopted them from my sister because one day I was visiting her and saw the two girls sitting on a shelf in the living room. They had been there for 4 months, not moved or even had their clothes changed. So I asked Amy if she was doing much with them and if she'd maybe let me take them. She was overjoyed that I wanted them and readily sold them to me. Of course she still has parental rights so she can visit them anytime and take them out for pics or whatever if she wants to.

 

Seeing as how I already had a girl named Tsubaki, I changed that name to Tsuki.... mainly because it's shorter, still shows her roots to the full name and it better matches her twin Aoki. Also, I had to add my own touches to them to make them mine so I changed out wigs and eyes and gave them some better clothing options.

Tsuki likes hunting and target shooting and Aoki likes the beach and drinking. Seems they still take after their mom. LOL

Time for another update!

 

Unfortunately I forgot my last girls birthday for September. So let's update with her first.

 

She's another Smartdoll girl and one of the rarer ones too.... Kurenai!

She's the same head sculpt as Moonlight but she's the milk colored skin ( NS for DD peeps ). My Kurenai uses the medium bust and her default wig and eyes.

Kurenai is good friends with all the other SmD girls here. She's very good at cooking and is usually in the kitchen whipping up new things or watching Food Network.

 

 

Now we move on to my October girls!

 

Not long after I adopted Manami, I felt the need to get her some sisters. I had only planned to get her one but when I went to Japan in 2010, I found TWO girls I just had to bring home. The first one was Rei Ayanami.

I found her in a Mandarake in Osaka and she came with her school uniform. At the time, I had no idea there were other body body types other than the DDdy one Manami had. So I had no idea Rei came with the old DD1 body which was strung. Since I didn't know this, I found out the hard way once I arrived home.

So after 3 months of dealing with the DD1 body, I upgraded her to the DD2 body. She has stayed with that body since then.... I've only added an M+ Peach Pai bust to her.

Rei is my go to girl for running the household. She's the brains of the family and takes her job seriously. She is very into science and technology and borders on mad scientist projects at times. She is also the leader of "The Maid Brigade" and rules that mob with an iron fist. She has always loved maid uniforms and makes sure she has the best one of all the girls.

Along with Rei, I adopted one other girl on my trip that year. I went to Den Den Town in Osaka and found her in a shop called "Heros". She's Yoko Littner!

There were actually THREE Yoko DD girls in that store, all in varying degrees of shape. The one I took home was in the worst shape. She had stains all over her from her default outfit and the store clerk said she had been in the store for over 4 months. People looked at her all the time but never bought her due to the staining. As soon as we opened her box and I saw that face smiling up at me, I knew she was coming home with me.

Her wig is really brittle and prone to breaking so I swapped that out pretty quickly with this short bob wig we call the "Flip" wig. It's got that cute flip to the side.

Yoko is the resident weapons expert. She takes care of all our home protection needs. If it's a gun of any type, she can take it apart, clean it and upgrade it in seconds. She's also very good with tech and engines.

These 3 girls quickly became the core of my DD family and have remained so to this day. They are my Three Amigos and will always be by my side. This photo was taken way back in 2010 but it still stands as one of my favoites of all the pics I've ever taken of them.

Alright, next round of early October girls is here! We've got 4 girls this time, 3 of which were adopted on October 4th... but one is from 2016 and the other 2 are from 2017. The other was adopted on October 4th of 2016.

 

In 2016 I adopted my THIRD Rei Ayanami doll. I know it sounds odd to have three of the same girl but here's how this goes. Of course we have my original Rei, posted just above. Then I made Reiko, which is a clone of Rei and is just like the original except for her having some of Manami's DNA in her. And now I added Reika, an exact clone of Rei that has no issues at all and is perfectly like the original.

Reika is actually a different version of the original Rei. She is the Transfer Student setup.. Original Rei came clothed with the school swimsuit sukumizu and an EVA towel. You had to buy her regular school uniform separately. Reika came with her transfer outfit, which has a cute sweater vest with it. I searched for that outfit for literally YEARS and never could get it.... mainly because when it was available for sale, I either didn't have the money or it was stupid expensive. I'm talking over $200-$250 just for the outfit itself!

 

Needless to say, after looking for one for ages, I finally had to break down and purchase an entire doll just for the outfit. Luckily, a friend wanted the DD1 body so we did a split and I wound up getting what I wanted plus the extra head, wig and eyes. So why not make a 3rd Rei? I grabbed her a DD2 body with the M-bust to match Rei.

 

You'd think after all that searching I would have taken tons of pics of that outfit on Reika but nooooooo. I have ONE friggin photo of her in it and that's it! I'll have to remedy that situation soon because I *LOVE* the outfit. Here's a very crappy phone pic of all three Rei's with Reika on the right.

As mentioned before, Rei made Reika as another clone while trying to perfect the process. Since Reika came out perfect, Rei considers her a success and has shut down her cloning facility. Reika can be easily discerned from her sisters because she always wears the little EVA plugs on her head, as seen below.

The next two girls came to me as a pair from a very good friend of mine here on the forums. He had these girls for a while but they didn't quite work out for the characters he had intended so he asked me if I would adopt them. I had adopted a few other girls from him in the past so naturally I took these girls in as well.

Both of these girls came to me as you see them above. Tasha was just so amazing to me. That hair and her freckles were super cute! And even tho Lotus was also pretty, I had plans for both of them so they would be getting some changes. These two came to me on DDdy3 bodies. I kept Tasha on hers but swapped Lotus over to a DDS M-bust solid torso body because I wanted her to be my Luna's bigger sister.

 

Of course I always have to add my own twist to new girls so I had Eblktty redo both their faces. Below are before and after pics. First up is Lotus.

Lotus is a bit of a slacker and a slouch now. She enjoys nothing more than lounging around the house in comfy clothing and napping all day.

With Lotus done, we move on to Tasha. She's the first girl I've owned with freckles.

But Ebl wanted to redo her to make her look more in line with my other girls. But I had other plans. I decided I wanted Tasha to be like a REAL girl with freckles..... that is, to have them EVERYWHERE. Ebl loved the idea and we set up Tasha to be the coolest looking fully freckled girl out there. Here she is with her updated face and her amazing body.

AHHHH I just love her setup!

 

Anyways, Tasha is VERY outgoing and loves being outside. She's also very aware of her sexy good looks and has no problems showing off. She's interested in Manami but has been stringing her along due to Tasha being playful and knowing how Manami is when it comes to big boobs. Tasha loves her hair and usually is brushing it and flipping it around to show it off. I love how she normally has it draped over one eye like in this pic.

Lastly, we have another non DD girl. Her name is Sonya and she's a full Obitsu girl.

 

I got her from Facebook for a song really. I originally wanted her just for the body so I'd have an example of one and had planned to put a DD head on it. But when I got her home, I really liked the head and face that she came with.

So I decided to keep her a full girl and went to cleaning her up and having her face redone. Eblktty of course took her in for a repaint but unknown to me, she had plans for Sonya. She took her from me for a month or so and when I got her back, THIS is what I got. LOL

It seems Ebl wanted a pink ninja magical girl but made one for me instead. I had envisioned Sonya as an ex Russian spy but now she's an ex Russian NINJA spy with magical girl powers. Her smokebombs are pink cotton candy. HAHAHAHA

Sonya was a hired gun for the Russian mafia way back in the day as was her sister. They escaped that life a few years ago and are now basically in hiding. Both girls are still up on their talents but rarely ever have need for them. Sonya is good friends with Yoko due to them both liking guns and rifles. They have shooting contests often and always try to one up each other.

Awww, you are too kind! Thanks so much for the compliments! The stories just seem to pop into my head once I have the girls here at home and with my others. Sometimes it takes a while to figure them out but with your Tasha and Lotus, it was really fast and easy. And I'm so glad you like Tasha's freckles! The ones she had were definitely cute but since I wanted her whole body done, it made sense that she get redone to match. I absolutely ADORE Tasha now.... I'm not supposed to have favorites but she is right up there in the top ten for sure!

Last October update! It's almost November so I need to share my last two girls here before we move into a new month!

 

These two were my very first MDD girls! Say hello to Kino and Minako!

Both girls were completed on 10-12-12. I received Kino's head and eyes a day before I got Minako's head in the mail. Both bodies arrived on the same day so they share a birthday since I register anniversaries on the dates the girls were completed and arrived at my home.

 

Anyways, let's meet the girls. First up is Kino.

Kino is an 01 head that was given to me as a gift by my friend Mitsuki. She had heard I was getting an MDD girl ( Minako ) and told me that the Law of MDD's requires there always be multiples of two MDD sized girls in a household due to them needing someone their size to play with and share clothing with. Who am I to break the law?

Kino has a short silver wig and Madder red Volks eyes, just like Manami's. She used to be on the original MDD body but has since been upgraded to the MDD3 body with M-bust.

Kino is extremely shy and quiet. She's very attached to Minako as well due to them being together since the beginning. Kino likes fluffy things like big dresses and plush toys.

Minako is Manami's little sister and she looks up to her quite a bit.

I had wanted to get Minako as a little sister for Manami and Mamimi for quite a while. I bought a blank 01 head and sent it off to Littlebearries to be painted. In the meantime she had sold me an older MDD body and some clothes. So when she got home I had everything ready for her and Kino.

She loves Manami and plays with her often. She also likes learning from Mamimi since she's a little more responsible than Manami.

 

Minako was on the MDD body but I wanted her to be a little older so I got her a 45cm Obitusu body with a larger bust.

She's very outgoing and quite the little show off. But she's super sweet to her sisters and is very protective of Kino.

It's due to the MDD Factor. Anything cute, like a DD, will enevitably be made cuter when it is made smaller. So taking a cute 60cm girl and making her 40cm ups her cuteness levels by a minimum of 100%.

Sakaki is named after my favorite character from the Azumanga Daioh anime and manga. She's very similar to that character in that she likes small cute things but is quite tall and big herself.

She is a modified 03 head on a Yoko Littner DDdy body and natural bust. She uses custom eyes that were made by Subaru here on the forums and a default wig from Ranka Lee.

She came to me on 11-10-17 as an adoption of just her head and eyes from our own Subaru here on the forums. Subaru paints some of the prettiest girls around so when I was able to adopt one of the head Subaru painted, I was really happy about it. It was a nice touch that Subaru had also made the eyes for her too.

 

 

 

Now it's time for Aoi!

There were two versions of Aoi released. The first is the one I have... the more grumpy and angry looking one. Version 2 was slightly less miffed and angry. Of course I prefer the grouchy one.

Aoi uses the DDdy body, her default wig and eyes. She came to me on 11-16-14 and was adopted from a good friend of mine down in Florida. She was gifted to him by 2 more friends but she and he never really clicked. He knew I was after one and decided to let her come live with me.

Aoi is very smart and is basically the "straight man" here at the house. She sides with Rei on most things and is easily annoyed by Manami and her silly ways. Aoi prefers to read or watch the Science Channel when she has free time. She also likes playing on the computer by watching YouTube cat videos.

Nice! From day one of my DD collecting, I've always taken a photo of the girl on her delivery day. That way I can look at her photo folder on the computer and see exactly when she arrived. Makes things easy for sure.

 

But I also keep a book with all the dates of arrival too. Plus any pertinent info goes into the book.... like name, adoption number, what bodies/heads/eyes etc are used, any changes made, who I got them from, what I paid for them and things like that. Kind of a written history I suppose. I find it nice to go back thru every so often to see where I've been.

I am kicking myself for not doing that, or at least posting them all in the arrivals thread.

 

I was able to find delivery dates for all but 8 of them, and purchase dates for 7 of the 8. I don't have the date I paid off Nero, because of course that's the one layaway Paypal receipt I seem to be missing.

 

Annoyingly Ebay, and Paypal both don't keep history data that long. The post offices purges old tracking numbers too, so I can't even use those unless they were in my trackers database.

 

I've been using a doll collecting app on my computer and tablet to track all of this stuff now, so going forward I will keep track of it.

 

Oddly enough I discovered that I managed to guess Makoto's delivery date back in 2014 accurately. Now she's going to have a swollen head. XD

So far I've been pretty good at within a week of getting a new girl I add her adoption day (The day she arrives at my door if complete, or day the last part arrives to my door to make her complete.) to my iPhone's calendar and set it to repeat yearly. So a week before her day I'll get a reminder.
