So, if I don't see anything about UserGroups on my profile it's safe to assume I didn't win anything?  Bummer man.

I really liked how they styled it in DD and MDD so those pictures hooked me in 🥰 If I see it secondhand I will definitely get it.

Just got my email results for the lottery. I got 3 of the 5 things I enter for😆.

EDIT:  I just got my email from Volks and Tawny is now paid for!  I don't want to get my hopes up but I sure hope she arrives for the Halloween party next weekend!

I just got the email too so they should be getting to everyone soon. As the user groups thing suggested, I got the three items I entered for:

• SB-SD-235 (black boots)
• SDB Abyss Black Set (yay)
• Alchemist Hat (Blue Ribbon)

If you don’t see anything by now that is likely correct. 

It does take them time to process them, and I think different lottery groups get put in separately. I.e. dolls might go in during the morning on one day, and clothing in the afternoon on the following day.

That seems to be what happened last year with the December Dolpa items. I saw clothing groups show up, and then Sailor Mars showed up a day later.

Also make sure you're looking in the right place. Maybe just me, but I had trouble figuring out where it was. Under "My Account" at the top of the page, go to the first option, "Profile Details" and once there would see two tabs: General and User Groups.

Anyway, the emails are going out now but I don't know if they're all sent out at once, in batches, etc.

I went ahead and submitted my order. I figured if I did it early maybe I'd be among earlier ones shipped.

And I could be sure I don't forget to do it. Would be terrible to miss the Abyss Black outfit again due to just my own incompetence.

So no one here has won the hoodie then (yet). There must have been very few available.

I won an open-eyed Iris Dollfie Icon. I'm pretty happy because I didn't win any of the dolls I entered for at Dolpa LA, and an Icon is what I wanted the most. Also nice timing because I was a bit bummed that the Nier Automata release got pushed to May 2020.

Other than a bunch of socks, I entered for the Alchemist Lady and four pairs of shoes.  The only thing I whiffed on were the SB-SD-237 sandals.  Did anyone else enter for those?

Also, credit where credit is due.  The email was actually good this time.  It had the correct list of won items and a correct link.  So, if the person responsible reads this, congrats on fixing that long standing issue.

I had entered for SB-SD-237 and didn't win them either. Maybe they're as elusive as the devil hoodie.

 

Edit: Did anyone else try for the heart bag with the candies? I didn't win that one either.

This is what that screen looks like. When you go to "Profile" you can click on the User Groups tab to see if you are in any groups. Each group represents an item won, and it's usually pretty easy to match the items up to your lottery entry email. I would always suggest keeping an eye out for emails, because while this works to figure out your winnings ahead of the announcement, it is not the official way Volks communicates winnings. On very rare occasions they have held second draws for dolls that didn't get sold.

 

 

Congratulations to everyone who won what they entered for.

It sounds like most people here did get most of what they wanted, with the devil hoodie being a notable exception.

I also whiffed on those.

For the fans that are going clickwar on the 21st. They are very delicate and difficult to open at first. This may be a bit obvious for some, but the backside is white, so when you open it you need to open it in a direction that causes every fold on the front to have color. They sort of pop right open at that point, but given how small and delicate they are it's a bit tough to get that initial pop.

At the tea party I sat at the table with the couple pictured with the Shigetas at 6:00. Very nice people.

 

After the show another  woman at the table wanted to play with all the dolls. She composed this scene with my Rei fighting with three other girls over a boy.  The boy totally looks like trouble too.

The doll in the blue dress belongs to the couple in the video, and she made the dress herself. It was quite stunning in person.

I'm not sure either. Looking at the list of items, nothing has been added, yet anyway, so either this event is not going to include the items left over from the lottery, or perhaps that's what the delay is about as due to number of orders from the lottery they haven't gotten to the point of knowing what is leftover yet?

I won't be able to be on at 11AM PST tomorrow as I'll be driving or at an appointment at the time, so I guess it's a good thing I wasn't really planning on getting anything.

 I think that was added later. It was not on the banner in older after event emails. If there are dolls leftover from the lottery (people not paying on time), they’d do a 2nd draw rather than release them on the store. At least, that’s what happened during the first Dear SD lottery by Volks USA

The tea party was nice. I hope to be able to go again next time. If not it’s nice to know people will probably plan something outside of it.  

I still sort of hope they do New York again. It’s probably really hard for them in term of logistics and expense. A large truck full of dolls and goods is easier for them to get to Anaheim from Gardena than to New York. 

It would be harder for me to get to New York, but it would be worth it to meet the east coast folks.
