Horrible portrait pictures

Rate them -10 to 0 please. Rating appreciated.

 

 

The scale is not sufficient, they're very nice. I like low-key photos.

 

BTW. What's the matter with Russians? I knew some, they're ok

I really like photo 1. The shadows work well and Mashiro looks quite coquettish.

Photo 2- I like the pose but the lighting is not working for me. I'm instantly drawn toward her left hand & thigh.

 

Rating: 9 (for pose), 4 for lighting. Average: 6.5

I love the posing in both photos and the styling but the lighting could be a lot better, I understand the intent of the photos but I feel her face is in too much shadow.

I agree with others about the light. The shadows are very dynamic, and shadow is useful for pictures, but having her hand very well lit and her face not very well light shifts the focus to her hand--but her hand (in both images) isn't really intended to be the focal point. If she had more brightness on her face, these would be really great pictures. They're still nice as-is, but since you did ask for comments and such I very much agree with those already given~

 

I think the first one is a really beautiful profile image, probably a 7 if I had to choose a number. The composition is nice, it's only the lighting that really strikes me. I'd rate the second a 7, as well--very nicely posed, etc., but with the same dark shadows on the face as the previous image--but in this one they're more pronounced.

The poses are both cute but my favorite is the first photo.
