We had a small meet yesterday and I wanted to share some pics of it with y'all.

Ahhh, my poor newest project boy.... he's so..... special. He's got quite the story behind him but I'll do a post on that another time. Just know that he WILL be changed around A LOT and won't be this scary/creepy/ugly after Eblktty and I are done with him.

Hitomi is ready to hit the beach in her swimsuit and float! The float is actually a floating drink holder for the pool with the bottom carefully cut out. We had planned to hit the beach right after the meet so that's why she and Katerina are dressed in swimsuits.... more on that in a bit.

These two always make me smile. The little guy is always getting into trouble and his tiny GF has the look on her face of "What is he up to THIS time??"

Ebl also had her newest girl there, named Bright. She's a DDH10 head in WS on one of the old WS MDD bodies. She is part of Ebl's circus themed group of dolls.

I can't recall this girls name but she's another project painted by Ebl. I know her head is a Yui from K-On!

Here's her coolest feature.... Automail! Her entire left leg got redone as armor and it turned out so friggin cool.

Of course the paint looks great but those extra add on bits that are made out of epoxy just make this thing super cool.

This girl is based on an original character design from one of my Charlotte friends. She gave Ebl a drawing of the character and this doll and said make it so! And she did indeed.

She's an 04 head and I think her character is a doll of some type.

The SmD girl here had never seen a guy before so when this EIji showed up, she kinda got REALL inquisitive about him. LOL

Remember earlier I mentioned we were going to the beach? Yeah well we DID make it out there....

Shortly after these pics, both girls were blown out of their chairs and we just couldn't do anything else for pics due to the wind. It was a strong 20-25 mph constant wind out there and even tho we tried to hide behind some large sand dunes, it was just too much for the girls to handle. Plus, we got sand in EVERYTHING.... the girls and the props had to have a good bath when we got back home. We'll do a proper beach photo shoot again once we can get some calmer weather.

that meet looks like so much fun... so many of the dolls there are REALLY unique and so cool. like what the heck! i have never seen anyone else's dolls in person... but seeing these pics makes me wish that i was there too. it would be really incredible to see such wonderfully customized dolls in person. the doll with the armored leg... that is just stunning in pictures, i'm sure it was insane to actually be there with it.

 

as usual, all of ebl's painted dolls are lovely. i saw bright on her instagram... i really love that doll, it's so adorable

 

hitomi's floatie is really cool, it fits her perfectly lol it looks like it was actually made for her, haha!

 

i love hana's kitty dress, she's such a beautiful doll. the tan skin with white hair is so pretty.

 

it must be so inspiring to get to see so many special dolls, i'm sure their owners have really great stories about them too

Not really a fan of SmD, but Hana has stolen my heart. So adorable, the hair totally sells the whole thing. And I know about the wind issue. Miku has a small scar on her face due to wind knocking her over and thus she got scratched up.

Now I'm really glad I didnt go to the beach xD

 

I have a new circus girl coming soon that will be very very unique. ♡

Thank you for all the nice compliments! I appreciate them. All the dolls in our group are pretty unique and I love that. Sure, lots of us have 04 head girls but NONE of them look the same! That's the cool thing about DD girls, you can make them into whatever you want and have your girl be completely different from anyone else's pretty easily.

 

And yes, with so many cool dolls and owners that come to our meets, the stories they all have are just so much fun. We try our best to always have lots of fun at our meets!

I told Hana's owner about your comments and he was so happy to hear them! Thanks for that, it made his day for sure. And yeah, Manami got the tip of her nose crushed in once because the wind blew her over and she face planted on concrete. Luckily it got fixed and she's fine. At least your Miku has a cool scar she can tell stories about now! LOL
