Monty Posted August 31, 2018 August 31st is Miku's birthday, so I unpacked her and took her out into the garden. She hadn't been out at all since I got back home. No fancy cake-posing this time, I no longer live in between two delicious cake shops :c DSC_0980 by torinomh mh, on Flickr DSC_0983 by torinomh mh, on Flickr Please feel free to post your own celebratory Miku pics here too! *twitter*instagram*art*

Monty Posted August 31, 2018 Those colours look great on a Miku! I took some more, unfortunately here you can see the difference between the lighting inside and outside... it also turns Miku's hair blue. 'Dont talk to me or my daughter or my daughter's daughter or my daughter's daughter's daughter ever again'. In I think 2015, I took a photo of my biggest and smallest Miku - it was the Volks moekore figure with a super tiny LE nendoroid that came as a preorder bonus with one of the PSP Project Divas (the second or third one). https://myfigurecollection.net/picture/1239732 Now years after that I have a muuuuch bigger Miku, but the tiny nendo is still the smallest. *twitter*instagram*art*

sinclair Posted September 1, 2018 Didn't do a whole lot today, we just kinda hung out together. She did oversee my work on my other hobby.
cfx Posted September 1, 2018 From the lines you have drawn it looks like you are making a switching yard. Miku's still wearing the cheer girl outfit to cheer you on.
sinclair Posted September 1, 2018 Yup, a switching yard. I laid all the track down, traced it, then pulled it back up and started gluing the cork roadbed down. The push pins hold it in place until the glue dries. As for Miku's outfit, I need all the cheering I can get right now.
cfx Posted September 1, 2018 Yup, a switching yard. I laid all the track down, traced it, then pulled it back up and started gluing the cork roadbed down. The push pins hold it in place until the glue dries. When I was much younger I was into model railroading, HO scale and a short stint with N scale. I never had room for a layout though so I was just a collector really. For a while when I had the N stuff I did have just a straight run that was probably 8' long on a board about a foot wide. At the time just being able to go back and forth was something anyway. Somewhere in my 20s I sold or gave what I had left (HO stuff then) to a friend that had a young child who wanted to do the hobby together as by that point I never felt I'd actually do anything with it. No regrets really but I like seeing your stuff because of that. It's a bit hard to judge from the picture but given the size of the track compared to Miku I'm guessing this is O gauge. Before I had anything my older brother used to have a Lionel setup; probably was on a 4x8' plywood. Too long ago to remember much, but it was an oval with at least a couple of switches and I remember had a short trestle and a cheesy looking plastic tunnel. He used to subscribe to Railroad Model Craftsman and Model Railroader, and I was always wowed at all the detailed and realistic (and large!) layouts featured in those magazines. Checking now, I'm surprised to see both magazines still exist. As for Miku's outfit, I need all the cheering I can get right now. Awww. I hope you find a job and things improve soon. Ie-Aster Posted September 2, 2018 Some great shots in this thread! Torino, I love the tiny Mikus *__* it's so cool that there is a Nendo in scale for a DD's Nendo! Oni-chan, your twins are both lovely. I really like the wig colors you have chosen, they bring out the faceups very well. Sinclair, that picture makes Miku look like some sort of guardian spirit of the switching yard, watching over it and preventing harm from coming to those who work there... At home: Mei (DDP Lucy custom), Aku (DDB Takane custom) En route: L. (DD Matoi)
